It's Snowflake Day, and I am trying to throw a gift-giving party with 6 of my Sims' best friends. I set up the party at 5 PM, and the message pops up saying the party's on. All goes well except around 2 hours into the party, the red rug should appear somewhere and the Sims automatically get together and exchange presents, but they don't. The whole party comes and goes, and by 1 am everyone is gone and no gifts have been exchanged. I have played this same scenario several times without saving the game, moving the Xmas tree to a large room with nothing around it thinking that had something to do with it but it didn't help. I clicked on the Sim who threw the party thinking maybe "exchange gifts with guests" would be an option but it wasn't.
It has been a while since I've thrown a gift giving party so I don't remember exactly how it happens. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
