Jenny is really moving right along!  Wow.  Love that adorable house.  It sure is jam packed with her earnings.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Yes, but I haven't done the Scientist career yet, so I don't have access to the observatory. I made a "Pancakes" club and made one of the activities woodworking. I got the last couple of points needed to max that skill. :)
@reggiko
Doh, I completely forgot that the challenge prevents you from buying any ole thing from Buy Mode. My bad!  *feels stupid, hehe

I'm happy to announce I've achieved victory!

At level 8 of the astronaut career, I knocked out a few more paintings and a new structure to bump up the value of my lot to over 350k.  Needless to say, I'm pretty thrilled, and I went ahead and finished up the astronaut career, so Jenny can bask in a high quality pay check for a bit before starting up scientist and getting that Ray Gun to fine tune a few issues (that second sink for the bathroom!)

But here's some screenshots to showcase my achievement in a solo run of No Buy Mode.

The Basement

First Floor

Second Floor

New Astronaut/Science Room, with a few purchases from the GTW shops

An abandoned tower... because why not an abandoned tower?  (Yes there's a fountain on top...)

View from the road

To infinity... and beyond!  Just without Buy Mode!

Congratulations to you and Jenny on completing Mansion Baron in her solo run of your No Buy Mode challenge, lMissTrips!
Your house looks gorgeous both inside and out!
I love how the tip of the rocketship pokes out of the ground!

I hope you'll keep posting changes in Jenny's home as she completes the other careers you mentioned and other life-changing events.

Hmm, it seems Jenny has a strange glitch where the gardener steals her coffeepot and quits if Jenny leaves the lot for work at the science lab.  It happened twice in a row, stealing my cooking coffee pot reward and my tech guru coffee pot!

I may need to kill that gardener... coffee is sacred you know.

But!  It's time for Science!

Jenny has investigated the science fishing pond, but no interesting results yet.  Further testing is required.

It's vital to get in your computer time.  Freezing co-workers to keep them off the computer helps, that it advances my work progress is a bonus!

But we all know why Jenny really wanted to be a scientist.

Transform!

Ermm....

Nope...

Grrr....

I got that flower box three times in a row...

I will keep shooting!

Plays victory music!

So it took a few days, but finally... *finally* Jenny has a sink for her bathroom.

Still gonna kill that gardener though.  I need to summon Grim anyways, I need to talk to him about Grilled Cheese.

Congrats on your long-awaited second sink!

I agree---coffee is sacred. What's up with that gardener? Doesn't he value his life?

Way to go getting your sink. :)
Sounds like the gardener is on borrowed time. You don't mess with a persons caffeine.

Do you think the gardener might have the klepto trait?

I don't know.  She never comes inside while I'm at home, or when Jenny was working at the rabbithole jobs and the game stayed on the lot at high speed.  The maid works just fine, she's never swiped anything for all the times she's been in the house.  It's weird.  I come home, the coffeepot is gone and the gardener has auto quit.

Time to see if trapping her behind some walls and summoning Grim through starvation will fix the problem...

*Death March music playing in background*  I've heard of "Starving Artists" but starving gardeners?  lol

Congratulations on Mansion Baron and finally getting that sink!  That was hilarious to see, day after day and no sink.  I personally got so tired of transforming items into bar stools.

So here is a transform/clone machine ploy.  You find an expensive, (or not) My Sim Trophy.  Clone them repeatedly.  Transform them repeatedly.  You either wind up rich from selling the expensive, cloned, My Sims, or have a houseful of merchandise from transforming or both.  I haven't tried it yet but how devious of me to think of it.

I've been using spare bugs, but that cloning trick sounds like a good plan too.  I got a transform of a countertop, which I tucked into my inventory to take to the retail shop Jenny just bought.  The cash register has to sit on it!  Jenny is going to spend her weekends seeing how well a no buy mode shop works.  I also plan on taking all those extra paintings and mascot statues, now that I don't need them for home value, time to sell them off and reduce my bills!  Even with Frugal, they're around 14 thousand a week, good thing I have the Investor perk from Fabulously Wealthy to keep me in the green!

Unfortunately you can't clone most furniture but anything that puts me in the green is good.  Even with two members having frugal the bills are horrendous.  The only problem with the cloning machine is how long it takes.  Still, I managed to clone several wall shelves full of mood manager.  Time consuming to make the shelves and then really time consuming, not to mention boring, to clone all the potions.  He's reached the top of the Scientist career but is still going to work there in order to use the microscope to finish off that collection.  Now I'm at a loss as to which career to attempt next!  You were so organized in your career choices and your house really shows it.

The challenge is FANTASTIC! So much to learn and what a great way to learn other strategic ways to play the game. I never knew how much I relied on buy mode until I started reading this and @Joria stories, can't wait to see what you do next!
