@Indira actually asked whether I was going to try this, and I have to say, I'm a bit intimidated by all the awesimness here! But, maybe, on the weekend, I'll try my hand at a little Romantic Bungalow

I tried to post on hazelnut's thread, but it didn't allow comments.  Here is my question.

@hazelnut
What does "one-up, one-down" mean? I googled it and found some irrelevant slang definitions plus a number of photos of lovely, old British cottages from the 1800s, nowhere was an explanation to be found. I initially though it suggested a second story plus basement, but I don't see a basement in your cottage.  (Am I the only one who doesn't know this term?)
What an enchanting cottage!

@oshizu I think it refers to one bedroom upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. Correct me if I'm wrong, someone! Lol

It's one room upstairs and one downstairs.

And thank you :)

(Also, why is this showing up as 38 mentions ?!)

Cozy Comfort
Lot Size: 30x20  (though the house doesn't take up the entire lot and could easily be moved to a smaller one).
1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom
Furnished: $19,972
Unfurnished: $9,907
Content: Get To Work (but I think I only used 1random decorative item from the pack, so technically you can use the house with only the base game)

I'm not a great builder by any stretch of the imagination, but I figured even I could build a simple starter! Hopefully as I partake in future contests my building skills will get a bit better. :)

@hazelnut I think it may have something to do with the maintenance done by @Carl. My profile also shows 38 mentions.

Two bedroom, two bath, 2 story house with an open floor plan on the first level.  First level contains lounge area, dining area, kitchen and a full bath room.  Second floor includes a child's room and an en-suite master bedroom.  I enlarged some items, (plants and picture), but no moo.  There is still a lot of yard available for a garden or play ground things.  The house is easily expandable for a growing family.
Sorry, I do not know where to find the unfurnished price.

What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

I am really confused on how to start to build? I know I have done this before but I don't remember what I did! Do I start a new game and make a random sim then buy a lot and build?

If you're in TS3, you can start a new game, then just go into Edit Town, and then build on an empty lot. I don't know the limitations of TS4, if this exists or not.

I'm in Sims 4! Sorry I should have specified that. Right now I just created a random sim and moved her in then went into manage worlds and am building on her lot but I will redo it if this way is wrong.

Shipping Delite (Sims 3)

Bedrooms: 1 (2 spaces)
Bathrooms: 1
Price: §16,066 furnished, §10,726 unfurnished
Lot Size: 10x15
Content: Base Game Only. Hidden Springs grass was used, but this will be replaced with ordinary grass if HS is not installed.

Shipping Containers are all the rage right now. The concept of upcycling has gotten more and more popular and Sims are clamoring to get their hands on container homes, most of which are outside their price range. Shipping Delite is not one of those homes. Sure, you'll be poor when you've bought it if you're fresh out of CAS, but hey - you can buy it then! Shipping Delite: for all your housing needs.
