Building Contest #1
Simple Starter

All Sims need a home, and the Sims that come fresh out of your CAS screen do as well, lest they languish in the Family Bin for all eternity. You've been commissioned by the Sim State Government (and Supreme Sim Entity) to create a Starter Home for your town's newest residents.

  • Budget: $20,000 in TS4, $16,500 in TS3
  • Lot Size: Unrestricted

Contest Specific Rules:
  • You may only have one entry, from TS3 or TS4. You cannot enter both.
  • There will be two winners - one from TS3, one from TS4.

Glad that the building contests are back for Sims 4! I'm not very experienced with Sims 4 mechanics. For the $20,000 limit for Sims 4 entries, is that including the cost of the lot? Or is it just the build itself?

The budget includes the value of the lot. In TS4, the lot value is displayed in the top toolbar in the information section.
Have you read the Forum Rules?

It's been awhile since I played in TS3, don't you have to include the cost of the lot there as well?
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Oh no!  :( I'm really not sure what's gone wrong - I've tried three different browsers and they're showing up just fine for me.

@Magpie2012 They're showing up fine for me. Not sure what might be causing them not to show for you.

And... My Tapatalk bug strikes again :-( New rule: if you see me telling someone that an image doesn't show up and my sig says Tapatalk, smack me and remind me that my Tapatalk hates me! I'm using chrome now on my laptop and I can see them fine! It's really pretty, reminds me of a Gypsy wagon!

Ye Olde Tavern
Lot Size: 20x20 - Cottage Am See in Windenburg
Bed: 1, Bathroom: 1
Furnished: $19,761
Unfurnished: 14,076
Content: Get To Work, Get Together, Outdoor Retreat, Perfect Patio, Spooky Stuff
Hashtags: #indira #carlsguide #buildingcontest2016

This building was once a well-known tavern that offers good ale and nice hot meals. It also offered a refuge for would-be fishermen as it is situated near fishing spots. But the place has since been abandoned and all that's left are a few chairs, tables and one lone bar. It will take a special person to build up this place to its former glory.
