Omni Plant
« on: November 13, 2010, 03:47:30 PM »
Hi this is my first post (so please excuse me if it's not in the correct thread). Before I start I would like to say a huge thank you to Carl,Pam and all the other wonderful people who have made this brilliant guide possible.
My problem is, my Sim is a level 10 gardener who has done the omni seed opportunities, but since installing Late Night when I plant my seeds and then "click" on feed I don't get the list to feed it anything.
I would be grateful for any advice.
Thank you ;D

Welcome to the forum.  It would depend on if there is anything in your inventory you can actually feed your omni plant.  I know that is what happened to me and I guess I didn't have anything to feed it.  Books, fish and fruit are :) some of things you can feed the omni plant.  If you have those items and you still can't feed it then, not sure what the issue might be then.
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

The only problem I have had with that is if I have too many items in the inventory. Because then the game takes so long to process them and pop up the list that it can seem like it will never happen...

Also, you must wait for the omni plant to grow to maturity to be able to feed it.  I don't know if you meant to put that in there, but you said you plant it and then try to feed it.  Sorry if I misunderstood what you meant.

I'm glad it worked out, but this doesn't belong on the Technical Help board.  I'm moving it to Miscellaneous Help.  :)

My omni plants have grown, but I can not feed it with anything. I was going to feed it perfect deathfish to grow more fishes. Is it a problem that I use already perfect deathfish?
I seem to have the same problem as Teacup does.

I found that my gardener who grew the omni plant can't feed it.  I have to get another sim to do it.  He also isn't able to order any more seeds, grr.  I get the option at the mailbox but the task just disappears from his queue.

What exactly happens when both of you try to feed the Omni plant?  What are you clicking and exactly what happens?

The thing about not being able to order Omni seeds is a bug that came with Late Night.  Electronic Arts will have to fix it.

When I click on Feed nothing happens. When I order omni plants through the mailbox nothing happens also. I can click on the command and that's it.

You get no options at all?  Is the plant fully mature?

That's exactly what happens for me, too.

Absolutely mature. And it's been there for simweeks now while I am focusing on other stuff in the meantime. All it does is exist, feeding on my precious perfect life fruit while I am considering if I will remove the plant or not.
