So I just read all of this in one sitting.
Wow.
That was the most hilarious, amazing journeys to take in one afternoon! I loved all the kids so much!

The floorboos are taking over! Thus far though, Nan was my favorite.

@oshizu , What I like about the short dynasty is that skills, careers, and lifetime wishes don't have to be unique. Just keeping heirs alive long enough for the next generation to grow up should be challenge enough. I'll probably post it because that's what keeps me going.

Well, we're still in the midst of the school year, so I've been quite busy work-wise and such.  Summer's coming up soon, though, so things will free up then.

EDIT:  Finally finished catching up.  Such a great story and well-done challenge!  Kiki was my favorite.  She's gloriously lovely and I loved that she was the non-challenging last chess match despite a complete lack of ability  :=)
Thanks for doing the recap chapters going through each household to check in on how they were doing.  I rather loved that feature/aspect of the storytelling.
