Cant edit CAS features - skin, age, gender, name.
« on: December 24, 2015, 03:48:41 PM »
I've come across this problem before but it has always fixed itself. Now, in CAS (if I enter through a mod, cheat, or CAF), if I select the skintone button, nothing pops down. If I change the age or gender, nothing happens. And you cant type in the name box either! I have removed my sliders from my game, the downloads that I most recently downloaded, (I didnt have this problem before them,) and used Delphy's dashboard, S3PE, and Custard and no luck!

Also, quick question. In my SavedSims file, if I change the name of the file, will that change everything? I'd really like to organise it!

You haven't said what you've tried to do to remedy the problem. So please forgive me if I mention something you've already tried. :)

Delete Game Cache Files (What & Howto)

Try a Factory Reset -- Sims 3 Factory Reset - HowTo

Check that one or more of the mods or custom content haven't caused a problem by moving the mods folder to the desktop and starting up the game then to see if you can take a Sim into CAS.

It will only mess up your SavedSims file if you try to rename it something other than .sim

For example, say you want to save a couple of copies of your favorite Sim. You could name the files something like:

FavoriteSim1.sim
FavoriteSim2.sim

Be careful though, saving two copies of the same sim could cause confusion when you're looking at them via CAS. As this has happened to me when I was working on creating one of my recent Sims.

Hope this helps, :)
