I'm trying to buy the sims 3 showtime on origin but it says" Your cart obtains items that requires base game in order to work. please ensure you own that base game before you continuing your purchase" but i do have the sims 3 base game. so what do i do?

It's just a warning message. Go ahead and purchase Showtime. You may get this warning message on any other expansion you buy for Sims 3.

i did order showtime it appeared on the bank but i dont know whats wrong with it how long dos it take to get it?

You should be able to download it at anytime, instantly.

You should be able to find the expansion by logging into Origin, mouse over the Sims 3. Click on the little i (More Details) then scroll down to where you can see your expansions.
