Fabulously Wealthy not tracking career income
« on: December 19, 2015, 02:52:41 PM »
As the title says, Fabulously Wealthy is not tracking income for my Sim. His wife is getting the credit for his income. She also has the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration. He is in the Secret Agent career and she has no career (yes, I'm practicing for the tournament challenge). I've tried clearing caches and repairing the game to no avail. Any suggestions?

Just for the sake of trying to figure out what is going on could you change the wife's aspiration and then see if he gets the credit?

Changing aspirations didn't help. However, if she is on the home let when he gets home, he gets proper credit. I guess I'll just have to work with that unless I figure something else out.

Sorry that didn't help, I'm clean out of ideas. Hopefully someone will have some suggestions for you. It's not a reported bug which could be a good thing. What an annoying glitch though.  :(

The situation you have in your sims game sounds awfully familiar and made me laugh. my husband works hard, and I get the credit.

Have you tried evicting and saving your family in your gallery and placing them back again in their home lot? It might reset things for them like the aspirations.

I also noticed (yes, in my Tournament practice lol) that the items sold from build/buy mode due to that week's skill, do not register under income for the Sim and only on the money in reserve. I am having a terrible time with this save and am seriously considering scrapping it and starting again with "fresh" Sims!

I noticed that too! I thought maybe I was mistaken that it counted before. My working Sim is WAY behind my stay-at-home in income.

Mine is the same via build mode. Only tracking to household income. Very annoying for the aspiration. Can't think of six effective skills that only sell through individual inventory.

Add me to the list... I've got this happening too. :( Still can't figure out how to solve it either.

I don't think my secret agent will complete the aspiration. I'm not even sure he'll get past the first couple of levels.

If you're talking about the skill of the week challenge there is no rule that they must complete the aspiration is there? Obviously it will make it harder if they can't buy rewards but the contest will/should be the same for everyone. Just compete for the household funds when they turn elder!?

Hmm, SotW talk should be on that thread lol XD
But, this (glitch? Bug? Annoyance?) Is going to make that challenge really hard for the career sim for sure!

For what it's worth, this is happening to my working Sim as well, if the stay at home Sim is away from the home lot at quitting time.

I'm glad I found this thread.
My working Sim is also so far behind my stay-at-home Sim.
Thanks to your responses on this thread, I know now that my unemployed sim needs to be home when the working sim gets off. Grrrrr
