Roofs

Hi, is it normal to not see the roof at all while in build mode? As soon as I click off of the roof to deactivate it like to turn the screen around or whatever, the whole roof disappears and I can't do anything more w/it. When taking one of my sims home from a neighboring lot, I noticed that the roof was all messed up, but when I go into build mode, I can't get a roof view to see where to correct it. Is this normal?

Have you gone up as high as you can in floors?  You need to be on the floor above the top floor to see the roof.  How many floors do you have above ground?

Yes, I did. I don't know what happened, but somehow the roof reappeared again and I was able to correct it. It got messed up by disappearing and I couldn't see what I was doing (odd shaped). Anyway, it's fixed now. thanks!

Try having walls up when placing roof.

Good tip, @Indira.  I'd forgotten that one and have had trouble seeing roofs when that was on cutaway as well.
