Cannot purchase anything on Origin

When the Halloween pack came out, I tried purchasing it on Origin and kept getting an error code and I still cannot purchase it.  So, I decided to try and pre-order Get it Together through Carl's site and I still cannot purchase it.  Not sure what to do because I really want that expansion pack.  Would uninstalling origin and reinstalling work?  I have tried everything else.

Hubby and I had an odd experience similar to this as well. We were trying to buy GetToWork and Perfect Patio Stuff through Origin.com last Wed and wasn't able to. It gave us an error at login - Page Cannot be Displayed. Hubby was thinking their servers were having problems and may still be having an issue.

We loaded the Origin client and ordered both through it and it worked just fine. So I'm not really sure what's going on.

You may need to contact EA's customer service if your having purchasing problems.

It may help to uninstall/reinstall the Origin client if you're trying to purchase through it. However, reinstalling the Origin client may not do any good if you're trying to purchase via the website/Carl's link.

Tried that also.  I have tried all suggestions wherever I could find them.

Makes me wonder if they're overwhelmed with black Friday sales,  the new star wars and all those sales.  Guess I'll see if I can get my pre-order for get together through when I'm at the PC

I called and wow, they immediately called me back. Might have something to do with my bank. Not sure what. Tried changing browsers and putting my payment info back in, nothing. He suggested calling the bank to see if there was a problem on that end. Funny, I have purchased from them for years and now nothing. Will let you know what I find out. Will not be a happy camper if I cannot get this expansion.

I just preordered through Carl's site and had no issues.  Don't know why I ordered it as I have a much more fun time playing the Sims 3, but I'm holding out that eventually they will give me my toddlers. 

Anyway, I am using Chrome and the same credit card I aways use for my online purchases (Chase Visa).
