@MrsFlynn I was more talking about the issue I'm having with the light show thing when I asked that about the Digital Deluxe BG. But its good to know Mr Flynn says that! It eases my mind somewhat!

@Playalot I'm holding thumbs that the December patch will sort it! Its highly annoying but strangely enough, I couldn't find much about it in EA Answers HQ!

No neither could I, in fact I only found one other mention about it. Seems people are just kind of accepting that it is a glitch... very strange.

I know right O_o I was kinda shocked, but I tweeted SimGuruRacheal and Lindsey and a couple others so I hope they're more aware of it now!

Hi!

I just went in game again and after my initial notification of CC, went to my normal file and a message saying one of my buy mode objects was deleted. I looked at all the main things (thinking that they had started taking CC content out early) and didn't see anything wrong.. played for an hour (after saving over my current file numerous times) and went to get some death flowers and the Cow berry seed out of the storage box.. and that was what was deleted! Has anyone else found this problem when playing today?

I'm pretty sure there is nothing I can do about it.. but worried that I'm going to lose anything I put in the storage box from now on.. $:-\$

Hi @KTK10 if you play in an off-line mode the items from the Trick or Treat thingy do not show up at all. Sooo if you have already saved then I'm afraid your items are gone for good. If you were playing in the on-line mode then this is something new!

I'm going to merge this with another thread that discusses this issue.

Missing Trick/Treat items while in offline mode has been reported. See first post for more details.

When playing in offline mode you still loose access to these items, even after the new update (Dec.04.2015) If you experience this too, please click the Me Too button on the original post linked below.

Thank you so much guys! I couldn't find where this post had gone, then realised I could just find it under my profile and click on posts..

That information really helps as my internet is a bit temperamental and if I see that message come up I'll know I'm offline and can't play.. don't want to lose all my crystals/fossils/frogs/death flowers again!

Glad you found this. Yes, the profile 'mentions' function is really helpful. To be honest I haven't really found much use for the chest as I still have to drag items out of it one by one. I still keep everything in my sims inventory. *shrug*

So... I did a live chat with EA about this and it's been referred to a "specialist" as apparently they are not aware of this and it shouldn't be happening O_o seriously?!? Do these people not read their own Answers HQ thread or Twitter or anything?!?

Anyway, I'll let you know whether they find a fix!

@Playalot that's what I thought too but I just got annoyed that they hadn't fixed it in the new patch, so I had to contact them direct! You can imagine my shock when the advisor told me they weren't even aware of the issue! Tried to explain it away at first with some games being online access and Sims 4 having the online gallery etc... But I stuck to my guns and now hopefully we will see result!

I'm thinking that most Sim players play online and that it didn't really occur to check to see if that was an actual problem or not.

It was one of the first things I checked after I downloaded and installed the patch. It's still a problem. The trick/treat items are there while playing online. But disappear if you're playing offline.

I also checked the edge scrolling. It's not really fixed either. At least not in Build/Buy mode.

I see by checking the answers.ea.com link and see that Crinrict marked the post as fixed.

Even though it's not really fixed for those who actually play offline.
