Is the Flower Arranging skill acceptable for a unique skill? I don't see it in the spreadsheet or mentioned in the thread.

Yes. Any skill with 10 levels is acceptable. I believe Lena is updating all the spreadsheets, but that takes a while.

Is there ever going to be a fame bloodline? I imagine that would be quite interesting.

There might be. I haven't done enough yet with Get Famous to work out the rules yet.

I'm very tempted by this now I've got more of the expansions so can play with vampires etc.

Just noticed a few things on the spreadsheet. The retail section has the restaurant requirements listed for vet clinic, the 3 unique party requirement for mansion doesn't specify they need to be gold, and the alien requirements still say never weary rather than seldom weary. The careers and aspirations lists also need to be updated, for seasons and get famous I think.

Something I do on dynasty spreadsheets is add a line at the top of the collections section as a "type" heading then pull in a list of options in a drop-down. It may be that everyone else handles this fine but I find it helpful to have it clear what collections the items belong to so I can make sure they're different. Plus I'm now addicted to data validation which I think I learned from Lena's dynasty spreadsheets. I swear copying and adapting those has taught me more than official training

Quick question. I just want to be certain of this before I continue.

Is it permissible to have shared aspirations across ALL bloodlines that no heir claims as their unique aspiration? For example, could I have any Sim in any bloodline complete Soulmate or Super Parent as long as I had enough unique aspirations for heirs to claim? Or, say my founder Sim in the Mansion bloodline completes Soulmate, does that mean heirs cannot complete it at all?

Yes. But they should not be the first aspiration completed. For your Sim in the Mansion bloodline, I think that would mean you'd want to complete something else before Soulmate to have it available for others.

Heirs need to complete their unique aspiration before they can switch to anything else, but it shouldn't matter if the founder completes Soulmate since they don't need to have a unique aspiration. Is that right?

Okay, I've reread the whole thread now and I see that my previous question was answered there, so I apologize for asking that before the read-through!

It seems that it is okay for Sims to become vampires outside of the Vampire bloodline option. My bloodlines are Alien, Mansion, and Vampire Hunter. It is acceptable for Vampires to move in as helpers and it would be okay for spares or helpers to become Vampires in the Mansion and Alien households, correct? Can they also be cured later even though that resets their age?

Unless they're in the Vampire bloodline, founders and heirs cannot be turned into vampires. I suppose spares and helpers can.

I see. But what if a vampire is doing the mansion baron option, which requires buying certain rewards? Is an exception made, or do you just get the points to buy them without actually doing so, or what?

Either way its nice to know the answer. Looks like no satisfaction rewards are being bought in my game because all 3 bloodlines are vamps for me. I was playing with the assumption that no vamp can buy them already, to be safe.

Actually it is okay to buy rewards that your vampire needs to complete a dynasty option. Vampire heirs doing the Mansion Baron option would need to buy the rewards necessary. But otherwise all rewards are banned.

Hi again and sorry to be a pest. The reason I asked about non-Vampire bloodline Sims becoming vampires is this question and answer. It's no big deal if they can't--I'm just thinking ahead. (Bold added by me.)

hello, just wanted to check a few things cause i'm thinking about starting over for some reason... mostly about shiny new (to me) features
  • I have assumed we shouldn't be making founders with CAS story mode, is there any stance on this?
  • I don't know that the freelancer career has 10 levels, so i assume this means it can't be a founder or heir career?
  • Scouting has 5 levels not 3, so should teen heirs avoid it? or if not, do they need to reach lvl 5 to max it or can they just do three levels like if they were in a normal part time job? or should i just keep scouting for children only to avoid the quandrary ?
  • also, if i want to play in windenburg, is there a reason i have to bulldoze the gym as the 15th lot, or can i bulldoze one of the bars or nightclubs, since theres two of each? its not a big deal if it needs to be the gym i just like having a distinct 'commercial district' ^^
