When I put Sim into a house, (for my build walk throughs), that house and every subsequent house with a Sim in it shows as a played household.  So, if we move out an heir, then wouldn't the parental household still show as a played household?  I'm thinking they would then age normally because they were played. Does it change when you move folks out?

Quote
Once you have moved out an heir in a bloodline, you will play that heir instead of his or her parent. The parents won't age because you'll have aging off for unplayed households. This heir will now have to meet the requirements for Former Heirs, and his or her child will become the next heir.

@Joria there is a specific setting in gameplay that allows you to autoage played sims. If you scroll down the options, they are 'yes,' 'no,' and 'active household only.' I was under the impression that we were supposed to check the 'active household only' option.

They shouldn't age if you have only age active households checked.

reggikko and dontmindme are both correct.  Once you have that "active household only" box checked, none of your other household you previously played will age, only the current active one you are playing will age.

K.  Thank you.  I did click that but thought once you had played one it wouldn't count.

3. The heir must achieve a unique aspiration other than Mansion Baron. He or she may not switch aspirations until that aspiration has been achieved. No heir in any other bloodline may achieve this aspiration.

But is it ok for the heir or non-Mansion bloodline heir or founder to ALSO achieve Mansion Baron though it would not, of course, be a "unique" for that bloodline and can more than one heir do this since it is not a "unique" but rather an extra which could happen accidentally.  Or is this reserved for the Mansion bloodline only?

On switching aspirations, does this also apply to children?

Mansion Baron can't be the unique aspiration for anyone, but yes, after a heir in some other option has achieved a unique aspiration, he or she can also work on Mansion Baron.

We don't say that children can't switch aspirations, so yes, they can.

I think I'm in trouble.  It was 3 am my time.  I was sort of playing and sort of watching a movie.  I checked my game, (my Sims were sleeping) and UH OH, it says Monday 6 am.  Is this a fail/do over?  I should have just put them to bed and worked on my next guy but let them sleep while I watched tv.  This tells me I absolutely should not still be playing at 3 am.

Ouch! If it said Sunday, 6 am, you'd still be okay, but a whole extra day is too much. But maybe a new game won't have the same glitches that this file did. And don't play at 3 am anymore.

Sigh.  Oh well, at least I like my Sim enough to not mind a do over.  Ok if I keep an almost the same subject line?  I'm not at all creative with those.  Unfortunately, I have insomnia so 3 am is not at all unusual for me.  Still, not a good time to play!

I removed all my entries except the prolog but it looks kind of messy with all the responses.  Should I remove the topic?  I hate to send unfinished things to the graveyard.

For the Mansion Baron option - I only have 7 party options, which means I can only have one heir, maximum. How do I work around this, aside from hoping a different bloodline wins?

Regarding Helpers - I saw that helpers can't move with the heir.  Can the same helpers move in later with any heir in the bloodline?  Or are helpers forever off limits in terms of being helpers again?  And if they are off limits - are they off limits just to that bloodline, or to all bloodlines?
