What Are You Looking Forward To In Get Together?
« on: November 11, 2015, 01:12:36 PM »
Well, now that we have had some official information I'm quite curious to see what everyone is looking forward to the most in Get Together.

For me it's probably the new world as I have played many, many hours in the ones we have and some new scenery will be just great! After that it's probably the DJ and dance skills. I can see where this will make story telling quite fun.

I would love to see the new dance moves. But I look forward even more so on the new building items. I'm afraid that my fun is 80% on building homes and 20% on the 'game' part.

I'm looking forward to playing around with the club system. At the very least, I figure it will make it easier to get gold medals on our Immortals' parties -- put the whole family into a club which eats and listens to music. Your legacy or dynasty heir can put together a club of prospective spouses; children can go to scouts' meetings; and you can maybe set up a garden club that meets at your house to work on the garden for free.

I'm also looking forward to seeing Windenburg -- the in trailers it looks really pretty.

I would say the new world and the new sims that live there. And to see what people do with the new building items.

Windenburg...a new map to play in! New scenery, new ways Sims will interact with each other, dance moves, clothes, hair, furnishings, etc, etc, etc!  Bring it all on!!

I'm excited about new townies. If there's one thing I miss about Sims 3 it's the worlds chock full of interesting people. I love me some Landgraabs, of course, but it will be really fun to get to know some new faces.

I can't afford this right now :-( but if I get lucky enough to have someone give it to me for Christmas, I'm really looking forward to the new world and the clubs...

It's interesting seeing everyone's 'take' on the new features. Surprisingly I most am not looking forward to the actual 'club' feature. I can't think of anything worse than my sim having to hang out with a bunch of random sims... however, that may all change once I've played around with it. I still just can't wait until my sims can dance properly... New Zealand doesn't get the release until the 10th... ugh I hate having to wait longer.

I hadn't actually thought about the new townies but it will be neat having new sims to meet. I really love the Maxis/EA made townies and for me they are an important part of the sims experience and I kind of hang my game play around them when I'm just playing casually.

And have you noticed that in TS4 the townies are less pudding faced than they were in TS3? It seems as if EA really amped up the randomisation this time around! I'm not really looking forward to the Dance and DJ skills, but only because I'm an evil Watcher who often doesn't let her sims enjoy free-time for such activities :-)

@Playalot I didn't know NZ has a late release. But no matter, I wasn't gonna get Get Together on release day. Was kinda hoping EB games would have it on sale on boxing day.

The new dance skills are really worth waiting for. Although, I still like watching my sims do those weird dances they do right now. :D

@Indira yeah NZ is usually a day later than Aussie making us pretty much the last country to get releases! lol EB games probs will have it on sale, I should wait but I know I most likely won't!

For me will be just being able to get it.  If things work out by the first of December I will be able to buy my new computer and the Sims 4, and couple weeks later Get Together.
If I can't get it the first of December, then it will be the end of that month, Hope, crossing my fingers and toes, and wishing very hard that I will be the first instead of the last of the month.

Fingers crossed for you @Janna  it's difficult waiting for sims stuff when it's all you want to play!
