Finished @ $1,874,798

:o Wow, what a score! I knew it was possible to get up to that by missing work but I didn't think it was going to be possible with the new rule. Well done!!

My two Sims ended up with a grand total of $170,666.  I'm blown away by the other people's scores. :o

I am so psyched to have come within a million simoleans of Nutella's score! Pierrot and Chantal Joplin entered their golden years with 1,027,696.

This challenge ends Wednesday at midnight, so please post your score before then. Good luck to everyone finishing up.

Well, this is sad. I spent all of my playing hours on this, and my sims are 20 days away from becoming elders. This may have something to do with my refusal to use super speed for more than five seconds at a time, though.
How do you guys manage to play a challenge like this one? As far as I understand, this is a normal length for a challenge, right?

Maybe this is why I never complete any dynasties...

I guess every player is different. Some players do well with marathon sessions - i.e. I will knock this out in the next two days and post my score on Wed. Other players like to approach challenges one little bite at a time and maybe do an hour here or an hour there. But, assuming you start when the challenge goes live you have 6 "real" weeks to play. For this event you play two Sims until they are Elder, so that's 6 Sim weeks as well. If you go the turtle route and not the blitz route, then you have to average one Sim week per one real week. Not too much playing when you think about it.

@Emily Redbird, I tend to use the slowest speed most of the time, too, except for when they're sleeping. And that's probably why I haven't finished my Immortal Dynasty yet. But even if your sims aren't elders yet, you can still post a score, it just won't be as high as the leaders'.

First week I usually use super speed about 80% of the time, the rest of the weeks I use super speed about 99% of the time.  I am very impatient.

I just used super speed through the rest of this challenge this morning. My score is $1,271,200.  I must be impatient, too.  I usually always use 2 or 3 times speed.  The only time I use the first speed is if I am playing a really large household because I micromanage.  The pause button is my friend though.

I assign tasks, speed 3, pause and assign next tasks, speed 3.  that is why I don't tell stories generally, and just play for completion, and also why I don't complete a lot that I start. :)

@Emily Redbird I play slowly, too.  I play on the slowest speed a lot of the time, especially when playing multiple Sims.  It can be hard to get through all of the challenges, especially since normally two are done within six weeks.  Right now it's only the one due, so the pace is slower than normal.  If you can complete them in time, it's fun to see how you did on the scoreboard and compare strategies.  A deadline is necessary for this sort of experience.
