My world, Nestville
« on: October 02, 2015, 04:36:45 PM »
OK so, I've created the basic world, imported it into the game, and I have one save file using it. I've got several members of my real-life family living there, as well as friends and generated townies. The world doesn't have any roads because it's easier (and naturally better for the Sims' health, as they get exercise going everywhere by foot). But it makes certain things awkward or difficult to manage, such as pregnant Sims walking to the hospital to have a baby, and Sims not being able to go to work or school autonomously even though there is a school and most male adult Sims have jobs (my female Sims usually stay at home, often because they have babies/toddlers at home and/or may be expecting a baby soon), as well as many teen Sims having part-time jobs. Is there any way I can back up my save, as I frequently do anyway, and then take the world back out of the game as it appears in that save file, add roads (now that building placement makes it easier), and then re-import the world back into the game and continue the old save file?

I don't think so. The world is given a new ID each time you export it I think.
