Fruits for Cobblers
« on: September 17, 2015, 11:20:39 PM »
Hi, I'm not real sure where to put this so I'm putting it here. Mods please move this threat where it belongs if not here. Thanks!

Anyway, I went to start making cobblers and noticed that there are blueberry, lemon, raspberry, and pear cobblers. I saw in the wiki that they might be a part of the sims store. I tried doing a search for them, but couldn't find anything. My sim is a master gardener and can grow all of these if I can buy the fruits. If somebody could please point me to where I can get these, that would be great! Thanks!

Cobblers, when cooked, will use the first fruit that's either in the fridge (priority) or in your inventory, starting from the top-left. This results in various kinds of cobblers if you have less of a certain fruit than you made in cobblers (e.g. 3 apples make 3 apple cobblers then two grapes were used after so they become grape cobblers).

Thanks Junan! However, where do I get these fruits? I found the Al Fresco Street Market stand, but was only able to buy lemons. Where do I find lemon trees and where do I find blackberries, blueberries, pear trees, and raspberries? I can't seem to find them anywhere!

While I don't know about those particular fruits you named, most fruit that can go into foods are available at a local supermarket and are plantable in a garden.

I did find Lemons in buydebug, but none of the others. Maybe somebody else knows where to find them? In one of the worlds?

Most of those fruits/nuts come in the Bohemiam Fruit and Nuts premium content set.

Hi Sonshine,

I don't know where to find the store harvestables other than in buydebug. Although I have found some of them in the fridge in on of my saved games before. But not all.

I just jumped in-game and using buydebug in the gardening plants and seed spawners tab you can find all the store harvestables - look for the bag icon.

You should be able to find Raspberry bush,  Strawberry Plant, Peach, Pear, Pecan, Orange and Lemon Trees, Cucumber plant, Corn, Blueberry and Blackberry bushes, Coco plant, and Purple egg plant.

There might be a few more I'm missing, but that should be the bulk of the store plants.

Based on the sims 3 stuff I have on my laptop:

Raspberry, Strawberry, Peach, Pear and Pecan appear to be among the harvestables that come from the Bohemian Fruits & Nuts premium set. That is the only premium content I have on my laptop, and I've only had them after I installed Bohemian Fruit & Nuts

Eggplants and one other, (perhaps lemons) seem to come from that wood fired oven premium set released around the same time as Monte Vista. I don't have that set on my laptop, so don't know for sure.

I don't know about lemons, but I know eggplants are acquired from a high-level Gardening Opportunity, so that's required.

You are talking about Egg Plants, which as you say are from a high-level Gardening Opportunity.

I'm talking about the Purple Eggplants which came as part of the wood fired oven premium set i mentioned: http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=17435.0. :) That topic also mentions that lemons come with the wood fired oven premium pack. Confusing when they call two different harvestables by almost the same name, isn't it. :)

Thanks everybody! I must have the wood fired oven premium content that came w/Monte Vista b/c I do have Lemons and Purple Egg Plant. Yeah, it can be confusing w/Egg Plant and Purple Egg Plant, LOL. I'll look for that Bohemian premium pack at the store. Thanks!

Edit: I d/l'ed the Bohemian Fruits & Nuts content and unfortunately, had to buy the entire set to get it, but oh well. I must say though, that some of those dress styles have come straight out of the 60's! I remember them well! lol The fashion was called Mod prints, lol.

Well, since buying this product, I don't know if this is a known bug or not, but when I took one of the family members to France, she continually wanted to eat the blackberry or blueberry produce in her inventory in spite of the fact that her hunger bar was completely filled. Has anybody else experienced this?

I haven't experienced that before, sorry. I don't normally travel to France with fruit in the inventory of my sims, however.

Does the sim in question have the insane trait? I can never leave my perfect fruit in their inventory as they always eat it, hungry or not.

Thanks KRae! That's exactly it! She is insane so I'll just be careful to take all fruit out of her inventory before traveling. She had to go to France for a nectar quest. She's also my nectar maker.
