Paused and Saving (Mac)

Okay so my game paused and i decided to save it and close that game to restart it, but it was taking forever to save so i went out and have come back 4 hrs later and it still hasn't saved.

Now because I'm on a Mac i can't restart my computer until the game is closed..

Please Help!!

I'm not sure how it works on a Mac, but with a PC there's a task manager you can bring up if you hit ctrl-alt-del, and programs can be closed from there.  Is there a similar task manager that can be brought up on a Mac? If so, I'd try that.

If all else fails, force quit... hold down the on/off button until you hear the hard drive shut down. Give your Mac a couple of minutes then start it up again.

Something similar happened to my game, what expansion packs are you using and do you have enough RAM?

You can force quit on the MAC holding down option, command and hit esc. I have to do that in order to quit Origin. Every time I save and exit the game and try to quit Origin, it says it can't shut down because Sims 4 is still running.
