no real estate funds to collect

Hi everyone,

My sim has a lot of money because she made it to level 10 as a singer and has been doing large shows about 3 times a week. So I bought a few real estate places with all of the money. I own two residential apartments, performance park, Mike's cornerstore, Hogan's deep-fried diner, and the movie cineplex. The property I've bought recently, but performance park and the movie cineplex, the first ones I bought, still have no uncollected funds and I bought them 2-3 weeks ago. Why aren't there any uncollected funds for me?

Have you upgraded Performance Park. Without upgrading to at least level one there will be no funds. Residential property won't have funds to collect. They're just like your residence that way. I've got no explanation for the movie cineplex though. You should be able to collect on that the Monday after purchase.

I didn't know that about Performance Park. I was waiting to get my first payment so I could see what difference it would make. For the residential, what's the point of buying it then?

There are 3 types of real estate to buy. Residential can be used to build a second house or a large garden, anything like that. Buildings (businesses like the book store) are a straight up purchase with no upgrades necessary. Properties need to be upgraded to collect rents. Three levels of upgrades are possible each providing more income. Have your sim use the smart phone or computer to "check real estate". It can be sorted by purchased or purchasable and by type- building, property, or residential. This is also the easiest way to check what upgrades are necessary and to collect rents. When you upgrade you should put more as what is asked, because you will have some depreciation (like 20% i don't know exactly)

You can use your own art for decoration, but they wont rise up in prize anymore on another lot.
