Teresa - grats on being the first to post a score. :)

I will enjoy my brief stay at the top of the list.  8)  I don't expect that score will hold up for very long, but at least I finished one.
This has been a busy year and I have missed almost every single challenge.  I just realized that the challenge season is almost over.  :(

Just come join us for the last challenges, and also next year :D

I'm currently placing the Crick Cabanas in Manage Worlds mode and can see the value of the lots that I have placed except for the lot that my sims are on.

So, I'm probably being a bit dense but, when I get to the end of the challenge, how will I find out the value of the 15th lot, please?

Gheez, I don't know how others did it, but I moved my sims to one of the houses they'd previously lived in and was then able to see the value of the last house.

After you've bought your last item, return to live mode, then return to build mode and hit the lower case "i" button for information; this will give you the value of the lot.

With regards to the no altering lots rule, can you rotate the house from the position that the game just plonks it down so that it is facing the road, or do you just have to accept it the way it is?

Rotation is fine. Please check the other challenge thread, _Annika_ I had an issue with your score.

Ok, this is not making any sense.  The numbers just aren't adding up to my way of thinking.  First of all, I can't use the spreadsheet.  So I hand wrote the cost of the items I left behind.  In the final house, which costs $20,683, I left a painting cost of $4,000 and a frog valued at $125.  When I checked the value of the house it only showed up at a value of $23,988.  You add 4 grand to 20 grand and it's got to come out at a value of at least 24 grand.  In one house I left a 9,000 item and that didn't show up with that value either.  Had my hubby run the numbers with his calculator but got the same results.

You don't write down the cost of items left behind, you just need to go into Manage world at the end of the 15th house -- once in the manage world screen, you can hover over all the previous 14 houses to see the value.  On the last house (15th house), you go into build mode and click on the "i" button (with the house icon) to see the value of the last house.

I'm not making myself clear but at this point I'm tired of doing this one.  So, based on doing what you said, (which is what I did anyway it just doesn't make sense) my final is
$263,767.

There is an immediate depreciation when you place items on a lot.  If you place the $4000 item, go into the live and back to buy/build, it will have already depreciated.  So the value doesn't go up by the full value of the item you placed, only by a percentage.
