Imagine if, when you choose to "play computer games," in between that option and the menu selecting which game to play, you had a sub-menu: "Play Single-Player" (this would increase your "fun" meter faster than multiplayer but do nothing for your social meter), "Play Multiplayer" just like vanilla; increase fun at medium rate and increase social bar and nerd influence), and "Let's Play." With enough skill and enough luck, you'd be called on your smartphone and offered a contract from "Let's Play, Inc.," a made-up company.
To get good enough to be offered a contract, and to get promotions and new and better contracts, you'll need high charisma and social networking skills. Having the "Good Sense of Humor" trait would be a big help, while having the "no sense of humor" trait would be a hinderance (but NOT a complete bar, not if SlimKirby is any indication).
While at "work," (which you can do at home), you can select a variety of work methods:
- Business as usual (same in vanilla)
- Pander to audience (kind of like "Suck Up to Boss")
- Put Yourself Down (kind of like how Proton Jon likes to call himself an idiot and talk about his ineptitude)
- Do Blind Run (this would be unlocked at around level 4 of your career, since it's advised to not do blind runs unless you're really, really good at improv).
And a variety of other work ideas.
