The camera is stuck, sort of.

Okay, I've never had my camera stuck in Sims 3, but...I was playing my new vampire family, and two were out in rabbit hole locations, and one was asleep, but...Now the camera won't move from whatever spot it's focused on, even in buy and build mode. I can't move it with the arrow keys or mouse, and I'd like help as soon as possible.

First thing I'd suggest is to restart the game.

The exact same thing just happened to me, right before the game crashed, which it's never done before.  Like you said, none of the controls would work - the mouse, the arrows, the pause key - nothing.  It was my Dynasty game, too, but fortunately I save at least once a day so there shouldn't be much of it lost.

I saved and restarted, and that fixed it, but I'd like to know what causes it...It was so weird.

Preventing it from happening again would be nice though. I'm certain I accidentally did something with the mousepad. I've done it several times in IM and on internet pages.
