Can you cover basement stair walls?
« on: July 26, 2015, 02:20:57 PM »
Is there a way to cover the walls going down to the basement, or maybe it's the floor edge from the first floor.
I'm hoping there's something I'm over looking here.
I'm talking about the gray area between the first floor wall and the basement wall.

Is that a foundation it's going through?

The house is on a foundation so I guess it is the foundation there.

I was afraid of that.  I have not been able to find a way to fix that, at least not yet.  So I think it depends on what you made the foundation.  Now, I haven't had a chance to play with things, but can you place one of the half-walls there and color those?  Again, I don't know if it's possible.  I haven't had time lately to play Sims, unfortunately, but thought I'd throw a couple ideas out there for ya.

There doesn't seem to be away of placing a half-wall there sense it's really between the 1st floor and the basement. I got my hopes up when you asked if it was a foundation. I knew I hadn't tried the foundation options to paint so I thought maybe I could use the foundation colors on it but that didn't work either. :(
I've tried everything I could think of to paint it but it doesn't seem possible. It's a shame to sense it makes a bland spot in the house.

Yeah, I know :(  I'm sorry I got your hopes up XD I have that problem in one of my houses as well.  Maybe EA will fix it or give us more options later on?

Yea, that's what I'm hoping also. Like they did in The Sims 3 when they add the ability to color the edges of the floors so your porches didn't have that bare edge showing. This is about the same thing.
I guess I'll just have to add it to my wish list. :)
