Sims broke up and got back together, still angry?

Hello! This is my first post on here
Anyways, I had two sims who were teen sweethearts, and promised, but then they both aged up to YA. Since one of them has the Soulmate aspiration, and needed to have a boyfriend/girlfriend, I made them break up so they could get back together as a proper couple (because the "sweethearts" status is not equivalent to a boyfriend/girlfriend). Then because they would not reconcile, I used cheats to raise their romance and friendship bars.

Does anybody have any idea why they're still acting angry at each other/refuse romantic interactions?

Welcome to the forum avasweet, I think your best bet would be to let some time pass until the angry or sad moodlets have gone and then try to have your sims chat and then eventually flirt a little etc until they start accepting the interactions. I would also save and exit then clear out the cache files before getting them to interact again with each other. Sometimes cheats don't quite work as you would expect them too.
