How to stop story progression?

Hello All,

I was just wondering how I stop my sims children from advancing in their lives after they've moved out of home? I wanted to play each family and generation separately if that's possible.

Also, Is there any way to get worlds ( such as sunset valley) for free? I need a new environment for my sims.

Any help would be amazing, thank you.

To stop story progression, at Main Menu, go to options (...) Then go Advanced Demographics Options tab and uncheck enable story progression. This will turn off story progression for all saved-games in your current Sims 3 folder.

As for free Sims 3 Worlds, there is Riverview you can download from Sims3.com
