Mail box issue

Trying to order omni plant seeds from the mail box but when i press the "order omni plant seed" button, my sim goes to the mail box and just stands there.  FYI  already received the omni seeds for completing the challenge.   Thanks

Does your Sim do anything else?  I mean, how long does he stand there?  He's supposed to put a box in the mailbox and then go on about his business.

No, he'll just stand there and won't put anything in the mail box.  He can get the mail fine, pay bills and send gems to be cut but for omni seeds he'll walk to the mail box and just stand there.

I have exactly the same problem.

Sim just stands there, looks at mailbox and then does something else.

I have turned off Free Will............nothing.

All the Omni Plants on the lot are dead so it's slightly annoying...!

My first suggestion is to reset the Sim.  Press Ctrl+Shift+C to open the cheats panel.  Type "resetSim Firstname Lastname" without the quotes.  Then see if the Sim will order the seeds.  My next suggestion is to restart the game.

Edit:  I just did some testing in my Dynasty game and I'm having the same problem.  Carina goes to the mailbox to order Omni seeds and nothing happens.  I reset her and restarted the game, but it didn't help.  This must be a new bug because she was able to order seeds just fine until now.

This has also happened to me as well. On another board, the OP found how to fix it currently and I'm sure yall wont like it either. He un-installed and re-installed everything BUT LN and 1.17. So untill they come out with 1.18, we either play without or rollback

This may sound silly, but have you tried moving the mailbox, as well as ordering the seed thing while your sim is standing on a different lot?.
Is the sim just standing there with the action still queued but doing nothing? is the action canceled? do they throw a pathfail tantrum?.

Mine just walks to the mailbox, does nothing, then walks away.  The action cancels.  No tantrum or anything.  I just opened that game, so I'll try moving the mailbox and ordering from another location.

Update:  I tried moving the mailbox and ordering seeds from the neighbor's box.  Neither worked.  She just walks to the mailbox and the command cancels.

A second Sim in my household just completed the steak challenge and got his Omni seeds with the option of ordering more from the mailbox.

His reaction is radically different. His head turns slightly to the left before he ignores the command.

Yeah, confirmed this bug in my Dynasty game. The Omni plant cue just cancels.

Destroying the mailbox and replacing it anew could do the trick.

Now, if I could only remember how to enable debug interactions...

Are omni plant seeds only available via the mailbox once you get your first two  seeds from the op?  Fortunately for me I had a lot of seeds from BEFORE installing LN so I"m temporarily good to go.  It seems both omni and salvage are two problems EA needs to fix.

Yes, the mailbox is the only way to get additional seeds after you fulfill the opportunity and get your first several from that.
