Chapter 26 - Eliza's Day


Mummy says that she kept a diary when she was younger and that I should as well, to make sure I remember all the memories from ages ago that I won't remember when I am much older. I asked Daddy what he though and he said I should because I might forget everything and that I should make sure I remember what it is like with Mummy and Shannon around. I didn't know what he meant and all he said was that some people grow old and some don't, the ones that don't are the unlucky ones because they love the ones who grow old. I'm still a bit confused about what he said. Oh and you won't guess where we are! We are in China! I love it here, it almost feels more like Home than Home does. I think it is so unfair that the kids here don't have to go to School they get taught at home! Think of all the games you could play in one day! Grandad is an amazing explorer and he has got a really good VISA so we can stay here for ages and we get a Vacation Home! The only problem is it isn't built yet, Grandma D doesn't have any of her Money trees here and Grandma G can't sell her Paintings and Daddies Sculptures. Aunt Maddy doesn't often sell her paintings because she likes to hang them around the house. She just painted this and it looks like Daddy is in the painting in the top left!



Shannon is no fun, she is always playing Chess and Grandma D has banned me from playing with her. I don't know why, I mean I don't really like Chess but I want to play with my sister. It's not fair.



Grandma D caught me with her one day and then the Chess Table was moved into Shans room and the door is locked and only Shan can go in there.



With nothing else to do I follow Grandad around all day, he went to the Academy one day, I want to be a Martial Artist like him when I am older, I hope he can train me when I become a Teenager!





This is how we are paying for the Building Works. Daddy sculpts and Aunt Maddy and Grandma G paint. I love watching them work, they all look very happy when they are doing what they love!



Grandma G asks me what I want to be when I am older and I say that I want to be just like Grandpa and she hugs me then tells Grandma D something and I get another Hug! They seem to be really proud that I want to follow in Grandads steps!





Grandpa took me to the Market to buy some Fireworks, he set them off but they didn't work, I laughed at Grandpa's face!






I offered to help Grandpa with his adventures, I went to collect some Platinum for him!





Because of that he was really happy because he could afford to buy some kind of Partnership or something like that. I'm not sure. I'm enjoying this holiday but I am a bit worried about Shan, she hasn't left the House in days and when she sees me she glares at me like she hates me, she does with everyone apart from Aunt Maddy, Grandpa and Mummy. When we get home I am going to ask her all about whats wrong and then give her a big hug and she can smile again.


Thanks to about five days in the House Shannon is half a Skill point from maxing Logic! I need to get Maddy the 25 ice Sculptures so I can have at least one Ice Sculpture of Declan! I really want Cemre to be able to train Eliza as it will be a big help but I don't know how much longer that old goat can last for! Janna will go first I suspect because she is older and not as fit but you never know!

Chapter 27 - Shannon is curious.


I know what you are saying, you are saying how can I be alone with my Daddy, Mummy, Sister, Aunty, Grandma's and Grandpa? Well it's because I am clever for my age, I think as an Adult not as a Child. I want to be a Child but I can't, something is not right and I will find out what it is. It all starts with Eliza, She has everything. Green Eyes that have been common in our whole family, not all of us but some of us. She is the popular girl at school, all the other girls play with her and her silly dolls, I just sit on the swing at break and no one talks to me. When we went on holiday I thought we would be a family again not a random group of relatives, I was wrong. Daddy was sculpting to pay for the House with Aunty Maddy and Nanna Gabby. Grandma Diana was cooking and starting a garden. Grandpa was doing some adventures. Mummy was upgrading things with her wrench she carries with her and then there is Eliza, little miss perfect herself. Everyone likes her, everyone hugs her, no one hugs me. She plays in the mirror and people say it's cute, they don't even see me.



I know that no one has done anything wrong and I should grow up but it is that nagging feeling that tells me something is wrong and that I should look out. I know it is right because they don't want to be with me, they never tell me when food is ready and when I realise all that is left at the table are empty plates. I eat alone.



I was so happy when Daddy gave me a sculpture, it was his first masterpiece Topiary and was worth almost §1,000! That was until I saw what he gave Eliza, an Ice Unicorn, she doesn't even like them, I do though, I like all animals!




Everyone else gets to do what they want, me I get told to go and play chess or something, I know everything about Chess and the logical side of life!



- Back at Home -

When we got home again they all said how I was in a bad mood and everything, the only person who didn't say anything was Aunty Maddy, she looked at me like she knew what I was thinking, I think I shivered. I needed the toilet after the journey and I went into the bathroom to find this... I was shocked. Grandma was kissing a Ghost, why! The ghost is dead!



Unless the Ghost is Grandma's dead Husband, maybe Nanna's Daddy? I never realised how Old Grandma could be.Daddy seems to be in some kind of trance lately, everytime he looks at Mummy he looks so sad and guilty but when she smiles he smiles too. If she doesn't he looks really sad and goes and drinks several cups of espresso.



Eliza is useless, she almost got a Detention today! She was doing her Homework in class and the teacher asked her something and luckily for her it was on Sports and Sim Fu so Eliza knew about it because she read a lot of books. She always does her Homework the morning before School, even when the bus is outside!




In School today we learnt about families, I asked why the teacher never talked about having Great-Grandparents. She said that they have normally passed away by the time we are old enough to remember and that if they are still alive they must be getting old now. It's strange because Grandma always starts to look really old and then a week later looks younger, so does Nanny but she never gets as old as Grandma.

I have to go now, Aunty Maddy wants to tell me something!

The last few pictures are in a new house wich I quite like but forgot to take decent pictures of, this one is actually finished it just needs the outside done and for Diana to plant her Garden up and for the Artists to supply some decorations free of charge! I also need to add a pool, playground, outdoor area and more etc. time to experiment with OL!

I love Shannon's green room! She's the typical quiet child - they see and hear everything because they're not the ones talking all the time. I hope she kicks up a fight when the girls get told about the Dynasty.
