A Relaxing Trip to the Spa

After getting to work in April, we figured your Sims could use even more Zen – and what’s more relaxing than a luxurious spa? The Sims 4 Spa Day Game Pack* is coming later this month!



As you might expect, The Sims 4 Spa Day includes a new type of venue, the Spa. When you get the pack, three new Maxis-made Spas and a new gym will be added to your My Library, to be placed wherever you want. They come in various shapes and sizes, so you can find the Spa that best suits your personality (or, of course, you can make your own).

Once at the Spa, Sims can hang out (and WooHoo!) in a sauna or get a relaxing massage. There are a number of fun new interactive objects for your Sims to enjoy in the Spa, from the massage chair to the mud bath, which we will reveal more about soon. But that’s not all that’s included in the game pack.

Your Sims can also build Wellness skill by giving massages, doing Yoga, and Meditating. The more they take part in these new activities, the better they’ll get at each. Higher Wellness means new Yoga poses, the ability to give superior Massages, and a special Meditation surprise that we don’t want to spoil for you!

I've seen people asking for this kind of thing, and I'm sure they'll be happy.  I may find use for the spa if it can provide easy to get and long-lasting moodlets for my Sims.  If it comes with the same amount of content as Outdoor Retreat, I'll be very happy.  Outdoor Retreat had a new skill, new trait, new reward traits, and a new aspiration, among other things.  I'm always happy to get more of these types.

*nods*  Just how much content will remain to be seen until there is an official information.  However, I am willing to trust SimsVIP on their source for this.  After all I corroborated their video with one on the official Sims UK page.

That said, I know people who definitely would like this sort of content as well.  Considering the last Game Pack came out in January, this would be a good time for another one to come along.

And I'm with you Claymask; my favorite 'extras' bring more to the table rather than just items, clothes, etc.  such as skills, etc.

Ooh, the wellness skill sounds like a great moodlet generator as far as gameplay goes, and should offer lots of funny animations with the yoga. I'm assuming spa days should provide a longer-lasting mood pick-me-up (and certainly hope so), but we'll see. I'll definitely dig in on release day and investigate that first. It's releasing right around the time I planned to get back into Sims, so perfect!

Yay, meditating and saunas are back. I just hope mud baths and such don't have effects that won't allow us to use them in an immortal dynasty.

Hi everyone.  I updated the very first post with the official info from The Sims.com.  The Spa Day Pack will definitely be a gamepack, which means more content than a normal Stuff Pack. 

Additionally, it is set to come out July 14th.  Yoga and Meditating, etc. are definitely confirmed as well.

Is it too early to start pointing out all the new items *cough* large fish tank, new mixology drink(?), potted plant, wall pictures, incense, candles, wall stand for candles, couch(?), yoga mats, rug, kitchen cabinetry, dining chair and table... *cough*? Not that I'm hanging out for new stuff in any way.  Cute new yoga/athletic gear too.

It looks just fantastic, I'm into yoga and alternative therapies myself so I think it looks to be a great addition to the game. The new content which I spotted looks great and I love the idea of the new Wellness skill. Some new hairdo's there too.
