Uploaded a new version. Not everything is done (obviously) but I have added game play and build goals for the neighbourhoods.

I also added lot types to all of them.

I have also added my suggestion for the "only base game" game play and build goals. They are under N1. Had a hard time to choose lot type here. Was choosing between bar and library. I ended up choosing library because it is more likely to have visitors during daytime hours.

I decided to open up Sylvian Glade and Forbidden Grotto - can someone check the wording?

As usual all changes are highlighted.

Does anyone know if there is any way to place a fishing pond while building your own park?

I think you can with buydebug, I haven't used that cheat yet so I can't be too sure.

@saltpastillen you can buy fishing ponds using the bb.showhiddenobjects cheat. In the search box in buy mode type in debug and it will show the debug items. Scroll down until you see the fishing signs and the ponds are just after them, there are 4 ponds that I've noticed.
Also to note the the fishing signs can also be placed and your sim can click on them and fish even if there isn't any water there, they will pull fish from the ground. :D Or place a fishing sign near a fountain or pool and let them fish there.
A clear conscience is usually a sign of a bad memory.

Cool thanks!

I haven't built much at all in sims 4, hence the birth of this challenge.

I have been playing around with the hiddenobjects cheat and think I have to allow it for the community lots at least. Which reminds me that I need to add a few rules about cheats and such - wow this challenge writing is so complicated. The more you think about it the more rules there seems to be.

I'm so glad all of you are helping out or I wouldn't have thought of half of the things we have discussed here.

Status report:

x slowly getting all the building requirements filled in
x writing answers to all the questions I came up with
x added sections about rules regarding to cheats and how to find the rules for a base game challenge.

I know someone suggested I keep it all in 1 post but I think due to the sheer volume of text that might be impossible (over 9 pages at least when compressed at the moment). I think I will have to post it in at least 4 different posts to make in manageable, 1 for info and rules and then 1 each for the neighbourhoods.

Just posted the latest version.

I would really like feedback on 2 things.

1. How does the requirement lists for each build look? Are they open ended enough?

2. How are the budget for the residential lots, are they to high or on point?

I've looked over the build requirement lists and the budget for residential lots and I don't think I see any issues with them.  :)

Cool. I didn't want to make it too hard - or too easy!

Thanks you guys for all the feedback. This week is has been super crazy as it's the school holidays and at least 10 times as much to do at work. But I have tweaked a few things and feel like the challenge is ready to be launched.

I would really appreciate if someone/a few of you could check the spelling/grammar as I English isn't my first language and I suffer from computer screen blindness (I swear it's a disease!).

Hi! I started playing this challenge and I've been having a blast. My family has successfully survived the first few weeks and opened their store. Yay!
I have run into a hiccup with the first child. He needs to practice typing for four hours for the Rambunctious Scamp aspiration, but the family is not allowed to buy a computer, and aren't allowed to travel to anyplace that has one, like the library. What should I do? Thanks so much, and again, I'm loving playing this!

Hi.

I have been play testing as well and came to the same conclusion. They need access to a computer.

I will amend the rules and you are free to purchase a computer for your family.

I will send the file to carl and metro by the end of the week so we should hopefully have it up on the board soon.

It'd be nice to have a new challenge - the Immortal Dynasty can only go so far with me. No offense to Metro. :)
I play The Sims 4 for fun, so I don't care if I never end up being interviewed for the Dynasty Hall of Fame; people who play for keeps burn out too easily and don't enjoy playing the games, so I am going to not sweat the details.
