Cotton graduates and is class valedictorian, no surprise there. To save the whole family having to go all the way to town hall, he just graduates in his garden. Congratulations, Cotton!

While Cotton spends most of his time outdoors, his new wife Jackie stays inside Siobahn's studio, skilling up on painting. Somebody will need to paint Cotton's adult and elder portraits, plus all those of heir 3 once Siobahn is no longer around.

And speaking of heir 3...

Yes, Jackie is expecting!

A few moments after the above photo was taken, she goes into labour, which triggers much panic from her husband and mother-in-law.

Their in sync freaking out is very funny to watch.

Jackie, who manages to stay much calmer than Cotton or Siobahn, goes to the hospital to have her baby boy. Welcome to the world, little Whisper! He gets the artistic and neurotic traits - he's going to be our family artist!

Everybody loves baby Whisper, and with two work at home parents and loving grandparents, there's always someone around to look after him.

Very soon, it's time for his first birthday. I'm most excited to see what hair colour he'll get. The Starsheen lilac that Bud and Cotton have? Jackie's blue? Maybe even Siobahn's?

Nope! He gets a random blond! It doesn't matter that much, he's still an adorable little sweetheart, who has his mother's eyes and skin.

Just look at the tiny guy! He's so cute!

Cotton finally gets his life plant to bear fruit, so Bud, with his requirements all complete, can have his first taste of Ambrosia!

Well done, Bud!

Siobahn creates a second batch to be stored into Bud's food replicator. There'll be serving for quite a while now, even when she passes on.

A certain Watcher finally gets around to doing some building and renovation on their lot. First, here's the museum, constructed out of sigh in the basement. Each heir has one side of a wall for their portraits.

See, Bud's wall is complete, with his favourite colour lilac. Whisper only has his toddler portrait on a background of his favourite colour turquoise.

And here is Cotton's side. Four portraits down, two to go!

This is what the house looks like now. Whisper is in the nursery to the far left and I'll make an upstairs bedroom for him when he ages up - I'd like to keep one nursery for all the heirs to come. Below is the newer bathroom, one the family was in desperate need of because they all seem to need the toilet at the same times! To the right of that is the main room with kitchen/living area, plus a desk and computer. Bud and Siobahn's room is top center, with Cotton and Jackie's to the left - that's always been Cotton's room since he was a baby, but it recently got expanded. And in the top right is Siobahn and Jackie's (and soon to be Whisper's) art studio.

Cotton also gets a reorganized garden, with different sections for different types of plants. It helps keep everything organized.

When he's not out in aforementioned garden, Cotton looks after his little Whisper. He reads painting books to him, the knowledge from which will certainly help him when it comes to his supermax skill of painting.

Look how precious he is! That face could make your heart melt.

And... it seems he's going to be getting a brother or sister!

Heir 1 - Bud Starsheen

Completed Lifetime Wish: Presenting the Perfect Private Aquarium
Maxed career: Self-employed angler

Jackie goes into labour, standing by the easel. I don't think she's enjoying it very much.

"You don't say."

Welcome to the world, baby Acorn! He gets random traits: Grumpy and Genius.

A day after his brother is born, Whisper has his birthday. Grandpapa Bud helps him blow out the candles.

Whisper? You don't think that haircut is too long?

"No, I like it like this..."

Okay, little guy. You do what you wanna do.

He gets straight to work on his painting skill, which is boosted to level 3 straight away thanks to all the painting books his father read to him as a toddler.

And to end the update, let's celebrate Jackie having her birthday! Happy birthday, Jacqueline!

Whisper is adorable! *wants to pinch his cheeks* Good luck, baby Acorn! You are such a pretty shade of pink. Hopefully there's a long-lived female townie for each of the boys.

Aren't they adorable? Not sure there's going to be anybody with interesting town genetics for Whisper since most of the original townies are dead or too old, but hopefully he'll be able to find somebody pretty to create a cute heir when the time comes!  :)

Little Acorn has his first birthday. Will he get Jackie's hair or Cotton's...?

Just like Whisper, he gets neither! He gets a random crop of black hair, which actually contrasts rather nicely against his bright pink skin. And to go with that, he has the Starsheen eyes that both Bud and Cotton have. With pink skin and pink eyes, it's only to be expected that his favourite colour is pink! What a little sweetheart.

With not a lot to do now that his requirements are done, Bud likes to spend his time with Cotton. They're going to be spending a very long lifetime together, they might as well enjoy it. I think here they're discussing Whisper's supermax skill.

Another person Bud spends a lot of time with is Siobahn. Unlike Cotton, she's not going to be around forever and their time together is running out. They're more romantic than ever and it's sweet in such a heartbreaking way... also, do you think you guys could have picked a better place to stargaze? You're just looking at a wall.

Well, wall or not, it seems they're having a good time.

Another birthday comes around and this time it's Cotton's. He ages up in front of the fridge, which is such an awkward place to take screenshots. Thanks, Cotton.

He starts having a midlife crisis. Ugh. No, Cotton, you're not moving out. No, Cotton, you're not flirting with anybody but Jackie.

After having a childhood filled with mostly painting and going to school - he gets on the honor roll easily - Whisper ages up. In the bathroom.

His hair gets longer than before, but at least it's out of his eyes now. He's definitely got a hipster vibe going on.

And the birthdays don't end there! It's time for Acorn to age up (again)!

Ignore the pile of trash.

Like Whisper, he has Jackie's very distinct brow, so eyebrow shape has to be carefully selected to avoid him looking permanently angry, haha.

I didn't expect Siobahn to hang in so long. She manages to paint her grandson Whisper's teen portrait and then Cotton's adult portrait. It'll be the last one she does. After that, Jackie will take over for the last of Cotton's portraits, plus Whisper's young adult and maybe adult too. Then Whisper will be our painter for the rest of the immortals.

She's 99 days old now. She and Bud both know she'll be leaving soon. They spend every moment they can together.

Siobahn: You won't forget me, will you?

Bud: Never, Siobahn. You'll be in my mind and my heart for all the years I am yet to live. I promise.

Her last hours are spent in the studio that she has spent so many more hours before, creating her beautiful paintings. The painting she paints now, however, will never be completed.

She begs for more time, not wanting to leave her family yet. Just a few more days. But Grim stands firm, as he always does.

Her urn is placed just beside her easel. She doesn't have a fancy gold one, falling just a few thousand points short of 150,000. But Siobahn had a wonderful life. Without her, the dynasty would be nothing. Bud would still just be a lone elf searching for his purpose. So, thank you, Siobahn, for everything you have given to this dynasty. You will be so dearly missed.

RIP Siobahn, you did a great job. Wow, Whisper lucked out, he got the best of both bloodlines. Acorn is adorable, his coloring is simply magnificent. Don't worry, Cotton, you'll get over that crisis soon.

Really good! Have you tried breeding  male townies with other townies to preserve the genetics? I think Trip wrote a guide about it.

Thank you to everyone who commented! Sorry for the short absence, I've been away on holiday. Normal service to be resumed now  :)

--

Like all the other kids to have grown up in the household, Acorn's childhood is fun but rather uneventful. He excels at school and gets on the honor roll and ages up with the help of a cake on his birthday.

Unfortunately, a certain Watcher was trying to multitask at the time of his birthday and missed the blowing out of the candles because he was too busy texting his boyfriend. But... I did manage to capture this...

And so we have another teenager in the house! Time to get you a makeover, buddy!

Thanks to his new Omni Plants, Cotton's gardening career propels forward at a very quick pace. He grows many copies of an expensive fishing book, which leads him to maxing his career. With everything but his best friends and elder portrait in place, he'll be ready for Ambrosia not long after he ages up.

Whisper also works on his skilling, improving to level 8 painting. His skill challenges are going to be a doddle - he's completed well over 20 paintings already, plus two brilliant ones and a masterpiece.

However, there is, of course, something else that Whisper needs to focus on. And that is finding somebody to help him carry on the dynasty. There aren't many choices, seeing how the awesome genetics of the town are mostly gone now. But he does meet this pretty young lady, named Marlana Marx, who has some incredible eyes that certainly wouldn't look out of place in the family.

They get on well, but there's no romance between them at the moment.

Acorn also meets somebody, a very cute guy named Gus Flemming. And they get on well very indeed.

The night all of this happens is also when Whisper has his young adult birthday.

He gets his long hair back, but in a new style that shows off his cool ears a bit better. He also gets his elf style clothes, in a bright, funky pattern.

Jackie (who informs me that she is outraged by having been ignored for this chapter) gets straight to work on his young adult portrait.

Now that Whisper is a young adult, the pressure to complete his requirements becomes more intense. So he's straight back on his easel... but, Whisper... are you okay, buddy?

I feel like your arm shouldn't be at that angle...

Whisper: What are you talking about, Watcher? I'm fine.

And I leave you with Acorn and Gus making out and very much distracting Bud.

Bud: Boys... this might sound a little rude but... can you get a room?!

Acorn's super cute and Cotton's book farm is pretty funny although very useful!  :) The screenshot where Acorn is just about to kiss Gus is just so sweet.

Wow, Whisper got all of the best the Mithrilen genes have to offer. Hopefully they're strong enough to withstand the generic EA onslaught. Hopefully a long-lived (or stuck, in the werewolves' cases) Supernatural townie catches the next heir's eyes! Yes, I am addicted to the rainbow skin sliders. Congrats to Acorn on his sweet boyfriend, they are precious together.
