It just happened again, right when I clicked the menu button to save... In the middle of my wedding
I really need a solution
I bought the game so that I could play it...
It's been happening since the very moment I bought it and I'm sick of it

Have you tried to repair it through the origin client. I know a lot of dynasty players do a repair each day to make sure the game is running as it should.

Yes I've done that before in order to fix other problems and it hasn't seem to helped, I'm not really sure what's wrong

Going on what Dellena asked, does your computer meet the minimum requirements of Sims 4?

Minimum Requirements for Sims 4 Base Game
Processor: 1.8 ghz or 2.0ghz - for computers using built-in graphics chipsets.
Video card:  with 128MB memory.

Even if it meets minimum requirements, you may still experience problems with the game like crashing, lag and slow loading. However, in the thread linked below there are some tips you can try.

It's better to go with a computer that meets or exceeds the recommended requirements, as this game has many more packs to go.

Greetings, seese1.
I experienced the exact same problem.
Although since I let my game check if my laptop is valid enough for the game, it continued working without a lag.
Have you reached the minimum requirements? Please do check.
Hope it helps,
~Adeline

I had a problem with crashing. It was happening every twenty minutes or so. I did a Google search and one of the suggestions was to reduce the items in the Sims inventories. I tried that and since then I don't have the problem.

Another thought,  I had crashing and when I sold the stacks of 99+ fruit and veggies in my fridge it solved the problem. Strange but true! Side issue:  I also haven't had the "I can't cook" bug since either.

Have you tried disabling Origin in-game? For a while my game was crashing a lot like yours, but I haven't had that problem since I disabled Origin.

Just an addition to help with crashing issues. User this on windows AFTER crashing occurs to check whatever is causing the crash. It help to detect the original cause of the crash

Start -> type "Reliability" -> View Reliability History -> Find Crash -> Right Click -> View Technical Details

If the line Fault Module Name says something like this

Fault Module Name:    MSVCR120.dll
Fault Module Version:    12.0.21005.1

It is a common vcredist issue and all you need is to reinstall them all until you no longer have crash.

I just got the same message "The Sims 4 Has Stopped Working" and lost 5 hrs gaming.

But i think i know why.

For writing stories  sometimes i PrtScr then open it in photoshop (with alt tab) without stopping playing TS4 (addicted you said??). I had artrage open too (drawing software) I feel safe because i did that many times and till now it never crashed but this time i got a photoshop update via internet ...  and a crash of my TS4 game.

Conclusion: i must save before alt-tabing and using any other programs. It's no more something safe and it's so painful to lose gaming time (especially in challenge as you are going to do the same again more and less)

Mine seems to stop working sometimes when I 'plan outfit' for my sim. It's not all the time. Sometimes it lasts 6 hours, sometimes it lasts 1 hour. It depends. I just make sure I keep saving!

Hello all!

I played my sims game earlier in the day today and when I came back to play it tonight it pops up and says that says the Sims has stopped working and that a problem has caused the program to stop working correctly and windows will notify you if a solution is available. So...I'm wondering why I could play it earlier and now all of a sudden it won't let me into it. I've restarted my laptop and I've repaired the game a few different times with no luck. Any of you have any ideas what might be going on?

Thanks!
