Testing Cheats

I have not played Sims4 in a little bit and I just noticed the testingcheats true is not giving me a popup. 
Does anyone know if this has been changed?  I tried all of the suggestions that are listed on the site.

I'm moving this to miscellaneous help since it seems to be more of a request for help with the game than a casual discussion.

Testingcheats on does give a message for me when I use it.

thanks....I did try that.  Not sure what the real issue is....guess I will do without the testing cheats for now.

Charlee, you might make sure you don't have any mods that are interfering with the testingcheats on.  (I know at point point there was a mod that made it so that testingcheats was always on; it needed removed when they tried to make the testingcheats "sticky" in a patch a while back.)  I haven't had any problems recently, but your difficulties reminds me of a mod conflict.

A while back, it did come on even though it didn't show a message.  Is it coming on for you and not showing a message, or not coming on at all?

I'm also having trouble with testing cheats and all the others as well.  It worked fine before the latest update but now I can't get it to work at all.  I hadn't used any cheats for quite some time as I was working solidly on a dynasty, but with doing a build I needed the cheats.  So far MOO works, (knocks on wooden head), but bb.ignoregameplayunlockentitled and tce does not.

@Charlee the cheat is actually testingcheats on NOT testingcheats true.... are you putting the correct cheat in?

**edit... oops. It seems testingcheats on OR true both work.

I tested this out in my game again to make sure I wasn't missing anything and was able to get testingcheats true to turn on. So to go on what Twinmum asked, are you sure you are using the correct cheat?

And are you trying to turn it on in the right place? After you've picked your active household in Live mode, try turning on testingcheats true.

So, tc only works in Live Mode?  What about the others that don't seem to be working?

@Joria , "bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement" has an 's'. You might have just typed it incorrectly in your post but it might be worth double checking.

I think that's it!  I'm so blind I just type blindly by touch and may very well have left out the s and spelled unlock singular.  Thanks, Play!

Your welcome, my typing is the pits so it usually takes me a couple of goes (with a lot of use of the delete key) to get my cheats typed in correctly. lol

Copy and paste from the cheats guide.  I often do that since some of the cheats are quite long.

For some reason I can't copy and paste into the cheats 'box'. Just doesn't work for me. I've tried! *sigh*

@Playalot I find that if I want to paste the same cheat more than once, I can't do it.  It does work the first time, however.
