I love how Kida is already plotting things even though she is just a toddler . She is really cute, too.
Thanks, Malley! Kida is a handful, I've got to say...
You should name the next kid Elsa. XD
*evil grin* It did cross my mind.
I love Kida!! She's a toddler with attitude.
And the chapter's name... I don't know if sit well with Kida.
Kida's a lot of fun, a very sarcastic character. She didn't like the title too much, no.
Nice start
(And good luck with finding the missing drive with Jareth and co.)
Thanks, Hazelnut. I'm trying to find it now by looking for other things, since that's when I always find what I'm not looking for.
Another Tia story *squeeeee* *fangirls all over the forum*
I love how this one has started out. Can't wait to read more :-)
Aww, thanks, Magpie! You're too sweet.
Sorry for the delay, kids, it's summer in the North where I live, which means lots of company, berry season, getting things fixed around the house, etc. I'll try to keep to some kind of weekly schedule.
Chapter Four - Colors of the WindThings in the dynasty world either go extremely fast or at a snail's pace. Sometimes it's a little of both. Kida's time as a toddler was over very quickly and she was eager to get on with her birthday.
"What are you going to wish for?" Lottie asked her.
"Multitasker, so I can get A's and get into law school." Kida said confidently.
"Whoa, back up the truck a minute," Tia said. "There's no lawyers in this game."
"Doo Pea Corporate Towers?" Kida replied. "Obviously corporate lawyers in there, right?"
"Um," Tia and Lottie said together.
"Trust me." Kida smiled.
"You still need to paint," Lottie told her. "Cri-Kee isn't going to be around forever."
"I've been artistic since I was born, I don't think it's going to be a problem." Kida reassured her.
Meanwhile, Cri-Kee, er, Sam, was busy doing all the things a good dynasty slave does. He upgraded the replicator, he fished, he painted, he hung out with his baby sister.
He babysat while Lottie and Leighton pursued their careers.
And, as so often happens, birthdays hit just when the tub was getting ready to explode.
Lottie was looking good, and so close to finishing her requirements.
All she needed was to top her career and finish decorating Stony Falls.
"Look," Sam told her, "we'll just sell off everything we've got and get the Falls finished. Once you reach level ten of the cooking career, you'll get a nice bonus, we'll get the good fridge, and it's all done. I've been going over the books and I think we can do it."
"Cri-Kee, you are the best!" Lottie told him, pulling him in for a hug.
"Sam, once she eats that ambrosia, I swear, anything you want, you've got it!" Tia told him.
"Hair would be nice," Sam said plaintively.
So on the day Lottie would reach the top of her career, with a grand total of 48 simoleons in the family funds, the family waited with baited breath. Would a metorite hit? Would one of her friends die? Tia rechecked the art work in the vault, the lists of opportunities done and Leighton had his birthday in the middle of it all.
Oh, the happy, jubilant music! The fanfare as the carpool dropped off the newest Five Star Chef! The family danced about in glee!
Lottie was immortal!
And Sam had hair!
