I Married A Guy From The Future.... (With Image)

Ok I took my character Saumya into the future and she met a guy named Felix and they hit it off. Eventually they had a private wedding. When she returned to the past he came with her. The problem is they just had a baby and it's ORANGE I have no idea why it's orange I have never seen an orange baby before both parents are Caucasian so why is the baby orange?

Edit: Ok I just got an image of Saumya holding the baby and the dad is of the same skin color so why is the baby that color?

Is it possible that the skin tone of either your sim of the father just looks similar, but is actually on the rainbow slider, and the baby inherited a different spot on the rainbow slider?

Alternately, does either your sim or the sim your sim married have in-game parents? Sometimes grandparent genetics pass on to the child.

If none of that is the case, it might be a random mutation. There is a small chance that a child born in game will have a setting or genetic component it pulls at random from the pool of available choices.

Take your sims spouse into CAS and you can check if he is on the rainbow slider. Use testingcheatsenabled true. Shift click sim click on edit in cas.

what's the cas? and where can I find it and what is a rainbow slider?

CAS is an acronym for create-a-sim.

The rainbow slider is one of the skin tones you can use when making a sim. There is one that spans all the colors, and is referred to as the rainbow slider. If you select the right spot on it, it could look like a normal skin tone, but if the slider point is moved at all, you will get a completely different skin color on the sim.

So if you go into create-a-sim using the method ratchie suggested, you can check and see if the father's skin tone is actually on that slider and not one of the normal skin tone sliders.

ok thanks I'll give that a try once I'm feeling better. Thanks for the help.

Edit: Ok I went into CAS but instead of letting me check out the husband  it was having me make another sim. I'm sorry I'm kind of new at this what am I doing wrong? How do I take Felix to CAS?

Follow these instructions first ^

1. Click shift+Ctrl+C at the same time
2. Type testingcheatsenabled true into the blue bar at the top.
3. Now, click on the sims hubby while holding shift, you will see options pop up.
4. Click "edit in Create a sim"


Now, once he's in create a sim go to the basics and see what color his skin is.

oh ok thank you and he's not in that rainbow slider he's in the middle top row one with all the orange colors but he's in the pale section. Wish I could take a picture to show you but the camera isn't showing up and print screen just shows up as black.

Since he is on the orange skin tone slider, any of his offspring can be orange. You can always take him back into create a sim and change his skin, and do the same for the baby when it ages up to a toddler, if you're not okay with the colored skin. As you can see from my profile picture, I enjoy sims with the rainbow colored skin tones.
