Day twenty

After yesterday the girls weren't certain what to expect, so it was mixed feelings that they opened a letter from the king

Dear princesses,

The Prince has neared his decision, he will announce the winner of this contest tomorrow. This will be the only woman he will court for marriage. You may all spend the day as you wish but you must remain in the home.

Regards,

King Novak

The girls were a buzz with chatter and speculation over who it would be. Even while there had been ups and downs in the household, most of the girls learned to get along fairly well and while they were competitive there had also been a kinship formed over this. They were all nervous and excited

It was a day to treasure friendships and share in the feeling of anticipation

They did as they often did, danced, and chatted

Some girls were a bit more anxious than excited

Celina was quick to pass out pep talks, for their benefit and her own, they all entered this for their own reasons but no matter the outcome they would all have gotten a good experience from it. They had gained skills, friends, and connections beyond their own lands.

Most of the girls head to bed early, but Jade was not one of them

Despite believing in her own words, Celina was not able to sleep and went outside to have a chat

They decided to jump into a game of chess to challenge their minds in the hopes it would tire them. Eventually it did work.

Tomorrow would be the big day.

Random event #10

7 cooking = 300

Finale

The prince was set up in their garden room to make his final announcement

He smiled at them all individually before launching onto his speech

"I wish to start by saying that having this end is something I feel both joyous and nervous about. I feel like you are all lovely ladies. While I look forward to this next chapter in my life I also feel the weight of my decisions. I had to make this one with certainty.

I had to consider not just the individual characteristics I desired, but the characteristics of a good queen and wife, because that is what I seek in my spouse. The woman I have chosen has shown her kindness, her strength, and her intelligence.

I can only hope that she also see the potential in our future and will agree to my request to court her."

He paused and looked directly at her

"Miracle, you are the one"

To say she was stunned was an understatement

Sierra was the first to burst into a smile and applaud, Rylie was staring forward blankly

Arya pouted and groaned

Jade smiled and was the first to offer congratulations

Celina felt elated for Miracle, and not as disappointed as she thought she would be at the news.

The other girls cleared out of the room and left the couple to become acquainted

They spoke seriously about how the courtship would work and took turns asking questions about each other

There was a warmth between them. As they were wrapping up for the night, Miracle got a little closer to Dmitri and whispered in his ear "I think you should know, I snore"

The laugh that ensued was music to her ears. It certainly was a match with potential

Hi everyone! I'm sure it seems like I went to zero to 100 in a hurry, I actually was pretty good about posting on my blog but completely blanked on posting everything to here, so here it is! It was definitely exciting to finish the challenge off, I've felt like it has given me the biggest inspiration to play the game that I've had in a long time. The last post was the finale of the challenge, but not the end of this story! So I am currently working on epilogues for all of the girls, currently I have four done and only two remaining. As soon as that is done it will go on my blog and then here within a few days. I wasn't disappointed that Celina didn't win, I was rooting for Miracle by the end because she is sweet and I feel like she got kicked around a lot in the challenge, but she was starting to stand up for herself more and more. I can't wait to show everyone more :).

Miracle's epilogue
« Reply #33 on: February 06, 2016, 08:37:57 PM »

So after the competition was over, the courtship began. Their first official date was to a park

It took awhile for him to work up the nerve to kiss her, but when he did they knew it was right.

Miracle was the one to blurt out that they should go steady and be exclusive. They both were equally enthused

A year later they had spent much of their time together, they had a more complete view of who they are apart and who they are together.

Dmitri felt like the time was right

She gasped at first, speechless, he held his breath while waiting for her response

Which was a huge YES!

Due to their families they had enough clout to get the wedding arranged only a few months later.

It was a quiet affair on the Von Haunt grounds, they exchanged their vows and hugged for the first time as husband and wife

The princesses all attended, even Sierra who was a bit late due to getting lost in the maze

When it was all said and done Queen Novak was a proud mother for succeeding in finding her son's love

Cake was had

Celebrations ensued

And after a long night with their friends and family, the newly weds head home

(credit to thesimsupply for the epic build)
Miracle's family brought down their own architect and provided their house as a wedding present, it was a house that merged space and nature together, a treehouse unlike any other.

It wasn't long after that they were whisked off to their honey moon

Needless to say they enjoyed themselves

Thus resulting in a pregnancy, it all went smoothly and they adapted well to their new family life

Luna Novak grew up as a happy kid, a little shy like her mom but was a chatterbox when she got to know people.

She was encouraged to be creative and took on the artistic aspiration

A glance at the future would show Luna embracing her unique look, even going as far to dye her hair green in the style of some of her outer worldly cousins. Through her childhood she would have found a passion for writing and become a journalist.  Being cheerful, creative and ambitious, she would aspire to become a bestselling author while juggling her day job.

As for Miracle and Dmitri, they both decided to pursue passions they had never fully explored. Miracle became invested in the medical career and eventually a was quite the skilled doctor. While Dmitri became a mixologist. This meant for the most part they had night jobs once Luna left the house, but the lifestyle suited them both. When they retired they stayed in the house they had gotten way back when they still got married. They stayed in close touch with family and friends, and continued to appreciate each other.

Celina's epilogue
« Reply #34 on: February 06, 2016, 08:48:11 PM »

(credit to thesimsupply for the house)

After Celina was done with the competition she decided that it was time to take big chances. She moved to another city, Windenburg and bought a unique house that is mostly underground.

She modified the house to suit her needs, adding an upper room that became her painting space. Something about painting soothed her, Celina decided that it wasn't time to look for love and spent the next year dedicated to her new career.

Love is funny, when your not looking for it, it finds you. One night when she went out to the bar with some of the other girls Paolo caught her eye. He was not what she considered her type but everything about him shouted fun and adventure so she took a chance and gave him her number

Sure enough he was just as expected, he was impulsive and took her to places she never would have thought of going, like the ruins on the other side of town or the Von Haunt house. They always had a laugh and both had good selfie game.

When they moved forward with their relationship it felt right, sparks went off whenever they were around each other, their passion was undeniable.

Still they both had their independence, their own friend groups and own lives outside of each other.

Despite them being careful, Celina did end up getting pregnant from one of their nights together. She was a little nervous to tell Paolo, not sure if he was the commitment type. Celina felt confident that she could support her child alone, but she definitely couldn't hide the hope in her eyes when she let Paolo know.

Paolo drew her close, gave her a deep kiss and when he pulled away he was smiling. He was thrilled by the news and asked Celina if she would let him live with her.

The support from Paolo and friends during this time is something she'd always look back on and appreciate, she had a difficult pregnancy with a lot of nausea and back pain.

During this time Paolo left the Partihaus, and spent most of his time off of work training and helping out Celina. He was looking to become a hall of famer.

The day Paolo decided to take the next step, he took Celina to the place they had shared their first kiss. He took his time to thank the baby for coming in their life, and then went on to explain how moving in with Celina just showed him what an amazing sim she is. The baby brought them together but it was Celina who won his heart. Paolo asked her to become his wife.

Celina said yes! The baby would have a father either way, but she wanted Paolo as more than just that, she wanted him in her life long after this next adventure.

They decided to get married that same night, and exchanged their vows in private.
Not long after their son Finn was born

Finn was a kid with a good sense of humor, he was a goofball at heart

Also good at selfies!

He was a good spirit about going on trips with his parents and despite being an only child he never really felt like it because his parent's friends had so many kids and he grew up always interacting with them. His parents brought the best out in him, his dad always encouraged him to be apart of sports and to put himself out there, and his mom always had a steady supply of comic books to encourage his love of learning.

When Finn became an adult he was both a geek and active, on top of being a goof ball. He would dedicate himself to becoming a programmer and launching indie games. He would often discuss his game concepts with his best friend Dominic, who is Jade's son. They have similar passions and would eventually share an apartment together in Newcrest.

As for his parents, they spent much of their adulthood travelling. Paolo had to go to sporting events all over the world, and even after he retired they made a habit of going somewhere new and warm every winter. Celina was able to pick up her painting tools and take it on the road with him. It helped keep her inspired and made her work more creative. It was much later in life that they both settled back down in Windenburg, the town that brought them together. Even in their marriage they still kept a good amount of independence, they both had their own friend groups to celebrate with. And most importantly, they always made time to visit their son.

Sierra's Epilogue
« Reply #37 on: February 12, 2016, 12:56:57 PM »

Sierra found after the competition was over that she wanted to be around people who were more like her. Other people who dealt with insanity. She became a captain of a club that was based on mischief and their common trait. They met up once a week at coffee shops usually to guzzle down drinks and shout at each other about anything and everything.

It was during one of these meetings that she noticed this quiet fellow watching and listening to them. Obviously he wasn't insane, but he seemed to still be sympathetic to their mental health woes. When she came over to talk to him they found some common ground, he struggled with his gloominess.

It wasn't long after that they both decided to move out of their comfort zone and went on a date. It was certainly a success. She learned that his name is Kristopher, and beyond being gloomy he was also a romantic, a collector and a glutton.

Months later, Kris had practically moved into her house, she had a fairly cramped one so they often made good use out of the outdoor space. They enjoyed each others company, and despite both of their issues they got a long fairly well.

It was that night that Kris decided it was time to tell Sierra his big secret...

That he is an alien!

If anything it made Sierra more into him

A year later still, they found that they had quite a few tough times. She would talk to herself, have grand conspiracy theories and often say the wrong thing at the wrong time. Kris was equally troubled, he'd fall into fits of sadness and have trouble of shaking it off.

Still, somehow the love was still there. They weren't a perfect match, but they still made it work.

(credit to simproved for this house!)

They had lasted long enough they decided to move out of Sierra's small studio home into this quirky two floor house

Times were good for awhile. They both agreed that they didn't want to have children or be married, both things would require a lot of commitment and hard work, and working on themselves was already a full time job for them both. Kris was a secret agent and Sierra turned her unique personality into a selling point by going into the comedian career track.

They lived together happily for many years, but the day that Kristopher was going to be an full fledged adult, he had a serious conversation with Sierra. He was needed by the Sixam community, they wanted him to come back and use his expertise to assist them with their training programs and pilot their pregnancy ship.  It was too big of an honor for him to turn down, but it would mean that he would only be able to come back to visit.

Sierra was devastated , but neither was she able to uproot her life and go with him.

On the last day of his freedom before enlisting, he created a portal in Sierra's back yard so he would have an entrance to come back. He invited her to test it with him.

Seeing Sixam was amazing, but it was also very bittersweet

As their visit together came to an end, Kristopher promised to come see her whenever he could, and if they still shared the same love when they were old and grey, he would come live with her again.

Sierra had a successful career as a comedian. She had two extra bedrooms in her house that she always offered openly to anyone that needed it. Over the years she had many guests, mostly people struggling to get their feet back under them and fellow members of her club.

Still her favorite guest was always Kris

In the end he kept his promise. While they had gone through different phases over the years of being together and being apart, they always remained friends. Through their last years they rekindled their romance and spent their remaining days together.

Oh the feels! So bittersweet. It reminds me a lot of Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End, where Will and Elizabeth can only meet every 10 years.   T.T

I've never played aliens before. When Sierra became elder, I assume Kris became elder too. Do the aliens show any changes in their looks?

Well done!  I have a strong aversion/distaste for reality shows, but you made this one more real and interesting.  I've loved every word and picture!  I loved the epilogues especially.

@Indira Thats a great comparison :), I was torn with how to end their story but I like how it turned out both romantic and sad. Kris did age up, but aliens really don't change a whole lot, he got a bit wider and he had wrinkles on his face but really not that distinguished. I would have had him in his elder human look too, but when I had him put on his disguise it kept reverting him to an adult, so I did without it. I think it turned out better that way. I'm glad your enjoying it!

@Joria Thrilled to hear it ! I'm glad others are enjoying it too, I am having a lot of fun pulling all of the endings together. I just finished writing Arya's tonight, I'm hoping that if I have time tomorrow that I can transfer it to here :). Theres definitely more to come! Thankfully the rest will be quicker, because Arya and Sierra were both more challenging stories.

Arya's Epilogue - Part 1 of 2
« Reply #41 on: February 19, 2016, 03:02:37 PM »

Arya knew that she wanted a husband who was as wealthy as her, so through her connections she found out about Malcom Landgraab and made a point to hang out at the same parties. It didn't take long for him to notice her, he even asked her to home back to his home to have a meal.

Unfortunately that didn't go as well as expected

Every cloud has a sliver lining, due to this fire Arya got to play the hero and spray him down.

They even bonded over it, as Arya had once been victim to arson  herself, they even had a laugh over their cooking skills. Geoffrey on the other hand, didn't find any humor in his house almost burning down.

It wasn't a surprise to Arya when she got the next call from Malcom. She found out that he was very different than his parents, they were very kind hearted, simple, good people. He on the other hand considered himself to be superior, he was dastardly, a snob, and evil. Yet still incredibly likable, despite not agreeing with everything he said, Arya was fasciated by him and his drive to be more successful than his parents ever had been.

After a good date, he moved in to get a kiss, and Arya gave him a small peck on the cheek. She knew he was the sort of guy that would lose interest quickly, so she worked hard to keep him on his toes and constantly trying to win her affection.

It was only months later that Malcom realized she was the one. He took her to a beach resort, got down on one knee and asked her to be his partner in life.

Her answer was to reward him with a passionate kiss.

His parents threw the wedding in Oasis Springs, it was a grand affair

Still, they had time to enjoy the moment, finally they were wed

The princess mansion was vacant after Dmitri and Miracle decided to live in their futuristic space house, so Arya and Rylie decided to stay. After the wedding they decided to all live together temporarily until they all found where they wanted to go next.

Rosalie was conceived shortly after the wedding.

Rosalie was both a smart and sweet girl, she was especially fond of Rylie and they were close friends.

Arya spent a lot of time committing to her passion for music, she had the desire to become a famous piano player.

After Rosalie, she still wanted more, so they had another baby on the way

That brought Emilee into the picture, she was only a year younger than Rosalie. She was a quirky kid, she'd always wear the strangest outfits. She had interests that were geeky, which Arya had no experience with but was willing to entertain. The kids got a long well.

To be continued...

Arya's Epilogue - Part 2 of 2
« Reply #42 on: February 20, 2016, 02:36:26 PM »

When the kids got older they decided to move to Oasis Springs to be closer to Malcom's parents, who loved showing the girls with attention and presents.

Emilee had a set up that most gamers would be green in envy at, she was often in her room playing online with Finn and Dominic (Jade's son).

Rosalie was very much so a daddy's girl, she shared her gossip and secrets with him first

She always saw the best in him, something that make Malcom feel like he should be the best he could be. He took extra precautions in his criminal career to shield his girls' from having even a hint of his life outside of home.

Still, there were plenty out there that knew his true self. Rosalie found herself approached by a man claiming to be an FBI agent who was following her father. He warned her that her father wasn't who she expected.

He was known as being a major crime boss, who rarely got his hands dirty. This lead to grudges from his underlings, who felt this was a sign of weakness and tried to over throw him.

Yet when he did take matter into his own hands, he was know for being merciless.

Rosalie dismissed the man as a fraud.

Yet when she spoke to her mom about her dads career and his reputation, she could see that the man had been telling the truth. Arya promised that her father had never been the death of anyone. He was resourceful with his money gathering practices.

Rosalie was devastated. She couldn't believe her family.

The next morning she made her opinions loud and clear and reprimanded her father for his life choices.

Malcom was not keen on having his livelihood questioned. He firmly insisted that he was just a good business man. It provided the roof over their heads, it kept them living the life of luxury.
Finally Rosalie said that she couldn't live this way, and that she was going to move out and live with Sierra.

Her parents couldn't stop her, she was now 18. She did agree not to tell Emilee about her reason for leaving the house, and agreed she wouldn't breath a word to anyone else. Despite being profoundly disappointed with her parents, she still loved them too much to go to the police.

Arya was heart broken, she had always known that Malcom took risks but she never thought it would pull their family apart. The relationship between herself and Malcom was tense at times after this, they often fought over his decision to continue choosing his career over his family.

Eventually Malcom retired, and that helped them all reunite as a family

But it was never quite the same until the day he was diagnosed with an illness he would never be able to recover from.

Rosalie came over frequently to come and care for him. He did eventually apologize for his choice, and she was finally able to accept it.

Emilee grew up to be a very beautiful girl, she was usually unaware of the affect she had on other people. Her apartment would be full of books, games, tv shows, and references galore. Both Finn and Dominic (Jade's son) would be good friends to her, but when they got older their dynamic would change, both would be interested in her. For the most part she would be unaware of it, but she also wasn't ready to tie herself down either. Eventually she would fuel her creativity into fantasy romance novels that would have moderate success.

Rosalie would live with Sierra until she earned enough money to rent her own apartment. She would start at the bottom of a charity business and work her way up until she was well known for her good will and her determination to get people to do the right thing. She would eventually have kids and that would also help bridge the gap between herself and her parents.

No one is ever prepared for death, even when it is expected. When Malcom did pass, the girls helped their mother grieve for him. Arya was relieved they all made amends before it happen. Arya had a long, challenging life with her husband, but still a good one. They both had successful careers, while very different ones. She got to live the life of luxury she wanted and in the end. She lived long enough to see her grandkids flourish under the loving household of her daughter and then joined her husband.

I hadn't realized until today that I'd only read a half of your story. Today, I followed it all the way to the end and read the above epilogues.
Very enjoyable!

Your tale about Sierra and Kris was so moving--their love and their struggle to overcome their respective anxieties and then....separation!
I was overjoyed that they could be together at the end.  Great storytelling!

Was not a fan of Arya but loved how you depicted Malcolm in her story. And their kids are gorgeous!

In fact, all the offspring turned out to be stunners!
I was rooting for Jade, though she was never a strong contender, and look forward to her epilogue and the outcome of the hints you've been dropping about Jade's son.

Thank you :) I appreciate the feedback!

I agree, so far there hasn't been one that was overly unattractive, pretty lucky!

Jade's epilogue is coming next, I'm very excited about hers as well because like you say, she was always just quietly in the background and I wanted to make sure that she got to shine.
