The family is developing quite the backlog of cake.

Nothing wrong with that!

Both of the spares turned out very pretty and seemed to get some decent traits too :)

Isn't Ella supposed to be the heir, why did she leave?

I wonder what her former boss thought of her graffiti in the cemetery.

Ella didn't leave. She just joined the painter career. She left and came right back. In fact neither has moved out at this point. Sorry for the confusion. Egypt will be leaving soon though. Too many bums set on fire, and Andrew seems to panic rather than running to the shower on his own.

Egypt reached level 4 of her science job and decided it was time to strike out on her own. She move to 28 Sim Lane, closer to work.

Ella, in the meantime, continued working on her requirements, finally creating her fifth masterpiece mural.

Ella had been keeping an eye out for partner material. She was a very practical girl and hoped she could find someone that would fit into the household. Then she met her grandmother's friend, Sam Sekemoto, and all that went out the window. He was a career criminal and it was hard to track him down. So she waited on his front porch until he showed up and made her move.

Ella invited Sam over on his day off. She knew she was moving a little fast, but asked Sam to marry her as soon as he walked in the door.

Sam was stunned, but he accepted and they were married then and there.

Perhaps, no, probably she should have told Sam about the dynasty before they were married, but he took it well.
Sam: You mean I can quit my job and become a gardener? I've always wanted to have a perfect garden.
Ella: Yes, and we'll have nooboos, probably lots of nooboos! (Way to scare him!). And, oh, have you considered growing out your hair?

Oh, I see, should have known, lol.

Hooray for Sammy, always felt a little sorry for the poor guy but not enough to get him made over xP I love it when you have one plan in mind then Sims just throw all that out the window.

Yes, I was thinking vampire. She was thinking fairy.

So Sam decided if he was going to grow his hair, he was going to groooow it.
Growing a perfect garden is easy when two generations have been perfecting plants. Being a fairy doesn't hurt either.

Sam enjoyed living in the dynasty house. Here he is, searching for some new dance moves.

Sometimes he had too much fun. It's Lisa, now an elder, who is now spending much of her time out and about the town trying to avoid complications. She ran into Egypt at the park. She told Lisa about her boyfriend, Thornton. No one in the family knows him, and he doesn't live with Egypt so everyone is trying to somehow get a glimpse of him.

Then this happened. Fortunately Andrew was the only witness, and Sam immediately thought better of it and asked to be just friends. Persia, I thought I could trust you.

Sometimes the pressure got to be too much for Ella.

But Sam would join her and help soothe her.

Finally, all Ella's requirements were completed, save one.
She took a quick trip to the Bachelor residence.
Ella: You seem like a nice elder vampire. Here take this!
Jocasta: Well, alrighty then.

Congrats on completing another heir! Poor Ella! Chana, one of the spouses in Rigel Duty, wasn't inappropriate but she had a good sense of humor and would constantly do flirtatious jokes with her hubby's family...so annoying.

Congratulations Ella! It's always funny when the least expected Sim behaves inappropriately, lol.

Ella: Sam, remember the other night?
Sam: How could I forget?
Ella: Well, I've been sick in the mornings and I've been thinking a lot about baby bottles, and I'm enjoying this kids' TV way more than I should be.
Sam: Hmm...

And, sure enough, there was a reason for all that.

In no time at all and forever, Ella went into labor.
Sam: Arrrgh!
Ella: Oh relax. (Waddles off to the nursery)

In birth order: Isaac Lumen, a Good, Absent-minded witch.
Indio Lumen, a Genius and Good, but unfortunately also a witch.
Iris Lumen, an Artisitic, Insane fairy. And our heir. (Oh, good. Lock up the art objects now.)

As babies do, the triplets became toddlers, some faster than others.
Grandpa Andrew took over potty training duties, here with little Indio looking a lot like his daddy.

Sam enjoyed teaching the children to talk. Isaac looks so much like Grandma Lisa.

Walking practice fell to Ella. Iris looks adorably like her mama.

Like her brothers, Iris was given a doll by an obscure relative. Unlike her brothers, she rarely played with it unless prompted to by an unseen presence in her mind.

Note: I was hoping for an Imaginary Friend partner for Iris, but that may not happen. She just really wasn't very interested in the doll. Time will tell.

Interesting that Iris isn't autonomously playing with her doll. Practically every toddler that I've seen never parts with it. Perhaps in the future, she'll be closer with it  :)

An insane Sim who doesn't have a thing for an imaginary friend sounds so... sane.

@Malley  and @Nettlejuice , I know! What the hey! The other kids gift their dolls to the oldest non-heir in the family and the doll passes along with the sim. I've really never seen such indifference before.

The toddlers became children and worked on their homework without prompting. Isaac had to be watched though because sometimes he forgot to actually walk into the school.

While the boys became teens, Lisa passed on while out fishing. (so much chaos I forgot to take pictures). Lisa did visit a few days later and the family was reassured.

The boys were mostly good kids and were very close.

Sam was worried about his daughter though. The chaotic household made her mental condition even harder for her. It didn't help that Sam had a compulsion to wake the family up with his bullhorn. He decided, for the sake of his daughter, that he and the boys would move away. He kissed his beloved Ella farewell.

Sam, Indio, and Isaac moved just around the corner to 60 Maywood Lane. Close enough for support, far enough for peace.

Presence: What have you learned, Andrew Lumen?
Andrew: That love alone is not enough. It takes hard work and forgiveness to make a relationship work. And that I will always love and miss my Lisa.

It's always sad when a spouse dies. I find myself gasping and putting my hands up to my mouth, just like my sims do.

With the household settled down, Iris found it easier to concentrate on her school work and easily made it onto the honor roll.
Unlike the other heirs, Iris had always heard the Presence. The family thought she was talking to herself, and admittedly sometimes she was, but often she was talking to the Presence.
Iris: What do you want now?
Presence: Just go play with your doll one more time.

Iris: Okay, I'm trying. You can see I'm trying, but this is so boring. Can I just go back and stare at Graduation Rewards?
Presence: Okay, I'm done trying. I'll never ask again.

Iris: This is why I was born with pink wings. I look good!

Of course, the house was not always peaceful.
Ella: So hey, Grandma, how's your day been?
Persia: Can't chat now. Gotta run.

Ella: Hey, Dad. Your bums on fire.
Andrew: Why so it is.

And soon Iris became a teen.
Presence: Just wear whatever you want.
Iris: I intend to.

Iris took gardening like, well like a fairy.

When the Presence suggested that Iris take up the bass, she did. For once, the Presence was right. She loved it!

Iris quickly reached level three in her cemetery job and stopped to harvest a death flower. Gotta plan for the future. The next day, she quit and joined the gardener career. One more day and she was on the honor roll and attended prom where she became romantically interested in Randolph Ibarra, a nice normal sim. Her new Irresistible trait probably help here. Iris was once again ready for cake.
