It sounds like Bridgeport is bugged regarding the SimBot, which is quite unfortunate.  I think if you move your Sim to another town, you'll probably get the series of opportunities again and will be able to make a SimBot.  Other than that, we have to wait until Electronic Arts releases a patch to fix the problem.

My Sim completed the opportunity of invention and got a "Life Core" finally.
However, I can't find the option to create a SimBot from the workbench.
I have tried to buy a new workbench but this doesn't help!

I haven't tried making one before, but I think you need to be at Level 10 of the inventing career, as well as have a heart-cut pink diamond, 10 life fruit, palladium and about 100 scrap.
So if you don't have all that, that's probably the reason it's not coming up.

Disaster of all disasters. Can we conclude that Bridgeport is bugged and simbots cannot be built there? If so, I have a big problem with my legacy, and Pam, if you see this I was wondering whether you'd be able to help?

My third generation heir is super-maxing inventing, and, worse, her life wish is to create three monsters. She can easily supermax handiness (well, not easily, but with a little bit of work) but the life wish is a disaster because changing it via rewards is banned.

I had no idea about this until I went to the workbench a few minutes ago, life core in inventory, and lo and behold, no option for simbot. So, of course, I jumped on and searched the forums and now I'm freaking out!

If anyone could help, I would hugely appreciate it. Have EA patched this problem yet and I just haven't updated (please please please!).

You said it's your legacy, but if you're doing SuperMax skills, that's the Immortal Dynasty.  So, just to make sure...  which one are you playing?  If it's our Dynasty that is hosted here on the Forum, I think the best thing would be to post the problem on the main Dynasty thread so we can see what Metro has for a solution.
