Game Will Not Launch

Updated my game with the most recent patch a couple days ago. I have no CC and I cleared my cache in attempt to see if that was the problem.  I tried playing in offline mode and disabled Origin in the game.  I have tried opening up TS4 from the desktop icon, within origin, and even tried running it as an administrator.  I want to buy Get To Work, but I'm afraid to purchase it if I can't even open the game up. I'll get the loading/thinking icon next to my mouse but after a few seconds it goes away and nothing happens.

From that list, I'd suggest trying, if haven't already:

1.) Ensure that Antivirus or security software is not blocking the launch of the game.

2.) Check that you do not have any programs running that my cause conflict with Origin.

3.) If that still does not help, please run a Clean Boot as this will help with stopping any other programs from interfering.

4.) Start the game in Windowed mode by -- In the Origin Client, go to the My Games Tab, and right click on the Sims 4 Cover and select Game Properties - In the Command Line Arguments, add the following text: -w und and click Okay.

5.) Update your drivers

Just wanted to say thanks MrsFlynn, I happened upon this topic just as Origin kept pausing when trying to download the latest patch.

The clean boot solved the issue for me and made the whole thing a lot less stressful, as I keep having issues when the patches are trying to download. Will bookmark this topic for the future!
