I have never seen a townie or NPC with maxed skill.  Only gallery addition have sims with maxed skill, and that is not allowed .. but I don't see it written down in the rules.  Team thoughts?

yeah that obviously cannot count.

I believe some of those NPC's at the gym also have maxed skills.  So there are some NPC's with maxed skills that I've found.

Gym trainers all have maxed athletic. I've even seen them take townie sims (such as Don Lothario) and max out their athletic skill if they become a gym trainer.

In my test file I invited Nina Caliente into my household. She had maxed athletic skill - and was not a trainer  maybe it was a glitch? It was a brand new file too.

Yeah, this is something I never even thought of, so my apologies. Inviting someone into the household that already has a maxed skill is clearly not what the team intended. Although it's a nice trick. ;) I am editing the rules. If you have already implemented this trick in your file, then you have one free pass and must start over.

  • Any Sim with a maxed skill cannot join your household.

But some townies come with maxed skills. And we cannot see that before we invite them.

Unless I am missing something, Lena - that is not the case. No one on the Oasis Springs or Willow Creek lists on the Guide have maxed skills:

But some of the homeless townies do have maxed skills. One of my sims in another story married a townie who had maxed fitness. You could amend the rule to say that if you find you've moved in someone with a maxed skill, you have to kick them out immediately.

Right. That makes sense.

Okay...

  • Any Sim with a maxed skill cannot join your household. If you discover that a Sim does have a maxed skill, then they have to be kicked out immediately. In this case, the Sim CAN be replaced if you choose to do so.

Excuse my newness and obvious stupid question but anyone can do this challenge right?  Even if they hadn't done any of the others this year?

Hi - just to be super clear, if we move in a sim with level 5 in logic (for example) we're allowed to max this skill out and count it in our score? So it's only skills that have already been maxed that aren't allowed?

Correct.
