Trip Does a 4x4 Dynasty (Generation Two)
« on: April 13, 2015, 11:23:19 PM »
This is not a story.

Trip Does a 4x4 Dynasty (Title Pending)

Now, I am a writer at heart, and one day these guys will have a proper story that I'll be proud to attach my name to. But the ideas are coming slowly, and while I'm just waiting for Generation Two to get that final op/meditate his way to victory, the ideas are coming so slowly that I might finish this dynasty before I have something that works as a story. Because right now, I just have some in-depth character background, weird details, and the most hazy of plot threads.

But I'll give you guys the run-down on things as they go on.

Worlds & Heirs

World One: Moonlight Falls

Founders: Mika Farmwell (née Yang) and Malcolm Harris
Generation One: Maureen Singh (née Yang)
Generation Two: Jeremy Singh (né Yang)
Generation Three: Coral Singh
Generation Four:

Founders

Malcolm Harris and Mika Farmwell (née Yang)

I took the "one townie, one CAS sim" route for the 4x4, showing that I am definitely still stuck in the same mindset of starting an immortal dynasty. But it made sense; Malcolm has always been one of my favorite townies, but I couldn't exactly see him with any of the other Moonlight Falls citizens (he's dated some of my other CAS sims, but I've never seen him with another townie), and I wasn't going to bank on him sticking around for a future generation.

Mika started as a breeding project in CAS, taking one of my bin sims (basically proto-Mika) and an edited Marc Brandt to produce a kid worth founding a dynasty with. After some editing, I got attached hard to her. Not even failing her first 4x4 could deter me!

These two got their start as about zero dynasty couples do: drunken one-night stands! If you read my first attempt, you know that. But in reality/behind the scenes, it was a night out at the Arboretum, and doing some questionable things inside. Either way, it was an emotionally-removed process that also knocked Mika up.

The power of hookups did not bring them together. They were barely friendly throughout Mika's life (hence not being able to even shoot them together and have it reasonably reflect their relationship), but they lived together and ended up raising their heir together.

Otherwise? Malcolm worked as a stylist, making Moonlight Falls easier to look at and prolonging lives I needed prolonged. Mika worked out...not to say that she worked. She was unemployed for her whole life. In spite of their own distance, they had romantic success eventually; both founders ended up marrying others later in life, to the point where I basically consider their spouses founders in their own right.

Carmella Harris (née Hai)

Carmella was a gorgeous witch who had her choice of whatever she wanted in the world, only to have a job tattooing others and marrying the scrawny little stylist who worked in the same building. And the past tense is a pretty bad word choice, as she got an Age Freeze potion early on and will live until the town move (Carmella is out of any running to be a real dynasty spouse; she and Malcolm had a son recently).

Although she got a solo pic, she and Malcolm love each other dearly and totally have a romantic life worth bragging about.

Gladsten Farmwell

Gladsten was the first sim I moved in. In terms of strategy, he knows a lot of the town...at the expense of starting out as a poor chump in a trailer home. He and Mika hit it off as gym buddies, military-minded friends, and attracted to each others' perfect six-packs after he got old.

Mika was unflirty, and Gladsten was commitmentphobic until I decided to give him a shot at a longer life with his young wife, and switched that out with the Vegetarian trait (didn't work :(). However, they had a realistic relationship. Some flirting, but they preferred to talk together, dance, and do jumping jacks. Basically, still acting like friends. Which was sweet in its own way.

Generation One: Maureen Singh (née Yang)

Maureen proved one thing to me: dang does Malcolm make hot daughters Practice makes perfect. She was a re-hash of my first 4x4 heir from an attempt ago. He was a fisherman in the Science career and took forever to get his requirements done. I wasn't about to do that for Maureen, but the practice of the last attempt helped her. She was still an adult by the time it was all done.

Having Gladsten as a stepfather rubbed off on her. Maureen fished. A lot. Sims make the best faces when fishing, but I never ever want to do that again either.

Anyways, Stats:

Career: Scientist
Two Best Friends: Doreen Dunlap and Jaimey Fitzgerald
Three Skill Challenges: Amateur Ichthyologist, Commercial Fisherman, Butterfly Collector
Four Ops: A Plumber and a Fisherman, Fishing for Suits, Practical Like a Fox, Say Hello to my Little Fish

I would like to say that Maureen had a more stable romantic life than her mum, but nah.

Partners

Jeffrey Fitzgerald was snagged for his treasure-trove of original townie genes. He was the grandson of Alice Fitzgerald and homeless townie Nicholas Wickerman (on his mum's side), and of homeless townies Count Snypes and Aubrey Oviedo (on his dad's). Fun fact: Count is on the grey slider! And Aubrey has pointed ears. That left for Alice and Nicholas to give him the rest of his features...I know it's hard to track down homeless townies, but Nicholas has some of the best genes in Moonlight Falls and I shouldn't be the only one using them.

My tip for getting your preferred homeless sim? Get the Bakery from the Store. Even if you don't own the lot it's on, you can set a cashier with the bakery register and it always pulls from the pool of homeless sims. Plus, you can fully interact with bakery cashiers.

Jeff and Maureen had a son together, but never married. She had a worse idea up her sleeve for that.

Param Singh was her boss. Her married-with-one-son boss. Things weren't going well for Param and Navita, I guess, because he took well to being married to Maureen. They didn't produce any kids together, but they already had their own beforehand, and our heir needed someone to act like a dad:

Siblings

Although Maureen's biological parents were never romantic, they ended up providing her with half-siblings through their other partners.

Gretchen and Glenn Farmwell were produced when Mika was too old to have kids, and she and Gladsten turned to cloning science to give them one of each. I kid, because while they came from Mika's womb, about zero genetic mixing went on and I just got clones!

Glenn ended up married to Stacey Lugosi (contrary to the name, the son of Violet Slymer and homeless townie Rick Lugosi). That was fine. Gretchen made the family tree look weird for a bit. Param had a son with Navita, who was a werewolf and stuck at Gretchen's age. You can see how this ended up. Shyam Singh was always listed as Maureen's brother-in-law, but I want to think that there was some awkward dynamic going on there.

To make things a little weirder, Malcolm and Carmella decided to start a family after Maureen passed away. Little Caspian Harris was just born in my game. He looks a lot like his mum, but he has the same goofy smile Malcolm does. What a little darling!

Yay! Nice to see you're taking another stab at the 4x4 dynasty, Trip! Welcome back to the 4x4 board, by the way. I was getting lonely here all by myself  ;D

I like it too, although it does sound like someone is taking an off-road trip.

I was getting sad seeing the lonely 4x4 boards! At least they're better off than the Domination and DecaDynasty boards. ::)

I think this temporary title "Trip Does a 4x4 Dynasty" has a nice ring to it.  ;)

I'll probably keep it for this thread, but the proper story (whenever I get to it) needs something more...literary.

I like it too, although it does sound like someone is taking an off-road trip.

I could totally have seen Mika and Gladsten doing that. Maybe for the story (98% of this is shot retroactively, so I get to do what I want!).

Generation Two: Jeremy Singh (né Yang)

You should have been grey like your dad, Jeremy! You betrayed me. :(

First off, let's just start with his toddler pics. This guy was the cutest little baby ever:

Though he seemed to test his mum's patience.

After being born into a bad relationship (Jeff was kind of a jerk anyways), Jeremy grew up as a normal child with a showy flair. I assigned him the Diva trait early on and he spent a lot of time fishing for compliments. Because I wanted to wait until young adulthood for him to do...basically anything, the years leading up to that were boring.

But soon he would be the red-headed martial arts master of Moonlight Falls (not my first one either):

Jeremy's life was reliant on a good deal of strategy. My intended career for him was Acrobat, so no leveling up athletic until he could hold the job. As for martial arts, I intended to get most of that done in China (Malcolm holds a Level 3 VISA, so I can squeeze a lot out of it)...but not until he maxed his athletic skill, lest he level that significantly in China and therefore not have it count towards his profession. Tricky stuff...but it did mean that I completed Jeremy's requirements better than his "test run" (a.k.a. Generation Two from last attempt).

Don't worry, playing acrobats are totally worth it.

And his stats:

Career: Acrobat
Two Best Friends: Kenyatta Weeks, Tommy Rader
Three Skill Challenges: Master of Meditation, Timber Terminator, Gem Collector
Four Ops: Showtime in the Park, Tour de Force, Secret Techniques, Meditation Benefits

I want to say that Jeremy finally had an easy, monogamous life, unlike his mum and grandparents. But nah.

Partners

Harold Singh (né Maldano) was Jeremy's high school sweetheart. They got romantic at prom and things were looking up for them for a while! Especially because Harold is of original townie stock: son of Peanut Ivy, and grandson of Marigold Maldano and Pappy Wolff. Jeremy was not the first red-headed, athletic martial artist to marry a Wolff either. (I had a life states dynasty founder once. If you remember her...I commend you for sticking with me for so long)

Harold eventually broke up with Jeremy, in spite of my best attempts. But why?

There was Catherine Bean, for starters. The granddaughter of Haley Sumari and homeless townie Victor Bean, and the daughter of homeless townie Kyle Huang, she stuck out as mother material in a town riddled with Y-chromosomes and puddingly females. And yes, she is the mother of Generation Three. At the moment, she and Jeremy have mutual wishes to marry each other, so we'll see what the future holds.

There was also Lea Witherspoon, a legally-edited (yay plastic surgery) homeless townie/Carmella's boss (she got a job in Business). Actually, she was the straw that broke Harold's back. Carmella hit Lea with a love charm, and Jeremy was the poor schmuck who said hi to her. I didn't mean for it to happen. And I don't have any pics of Lea, even though she was super-pretty after editing.

Siblings

Jeremy, much like his mum, was the only child born to both of his parents. But it's not to say that they didn't provide him with extended options.

Sam Fitzgerald was born to Jeffrey and his new wife, Elizabeth Timbley (daughter of Branch Timbley and Zoe Durwood). Elizabeth was a rather plain-looking girl, considering that her dad is the same way and that Zoe isn't exactly a stunner either, so I was actually pretty thankful for Sam to come out looking like Jeff.

Shyam Farmwell (né Singh, left) barely counts, considering that he's Jeremy's step-brother...uncle (married his aunt Gretchen and yes, she proposed to him to keep the Farmwell name alive)...whatever. And Sanjit (right), his son with Gretchen, is simply Jeremy's cousin. But the pictures are here for completeness. They're family too.

Jeremy still has a lot of life to live, considering that I plan for him to stay young for a little while longer. So he might get a part two to his summary. But until next time:

Yay! I'm extremely pleased you posted another 4x4, especially since Mika and Gladsten end up together this time  ;D Did Maureen get Malcolm's hair or did you have to dye it for her like before?  Jeremy is one hot Sim, I love that shot of him with Harold in Shang Simla.

Thank you!

Yes, Maureen got a dye job. It was necessary, as she was born with that awful green-brown color and I couldn't find Mika's hair color among a sea of saved blacks and browns. The blue plays off her red clothing so well.

Jeremy definitely won out with looks, but considering that this woman is his ancestor, I'm not surprised either:

I like that shot of him and Harold too. Harold had a right to get angry, and he's otherwise kind of a big softy. Works out, but gives to charity and loves animals.
