In Sims 4, you can see young adults / adults just by looking at their name bar, it will tell you, very simple.  If I do get a male heir, I look for adult female.  I will start looking early, count the NPC days so I know about how many days left they have till the adult turn elder.

DAY 71  (J. K.)

Between work and aspiration, I have no time to take care of little Margarita, mama had to help out.  Good news is I've completed the bestselling author aspiration today, my life should be less hectic now.

DAY 72  (J. K.)

Came home from work today and was greeted by Margarita, she grew up right before my eyes.

DAY 76  (J. K.)

She's such a good kid.  She does her homework every night, work on her aspiration with no complains.

I bought her some toys as reward for her good grades, she adores the dino.

DAY 76  (J. K.)

Margarita completed her artistic prodigy aspiration, and wasn't satisfied.  She is working on more aspiration, whiz kid and scamp, what a hardworking child.

She ask if I could buy her more dinos, how can I say no.

DAY 77  (Monalisa)

I forgot to tell J.K. it's my birthday today, she missed out on throwing me a party for her requirement ... oops.

I told mama I didn't want to eat ambrosia just yet, I am still not happy with my paintings.  I shall paint until my days are ending before I eat Ambrosia, the only annoying part is I have to keep calling up my friends to keep them happy.

I really like how you are getting through this at a great pace, and as you said the story does come second to the challenge, however, you would not know that as it's a great story to read. Can't wait to see more.

Is there a reason why you keep track of the number of days, Nutella? Is that a requirement or something you chose to do?

@Tixxis
No it's not a requirement, it's just something I choose to do.  When you write a journal / diary, you always put down the date, then etc etc etc.  There is no in-game date, so I choose to keep track of the days myself and kinda make it like the date for my sims to write diary.

Even though the entries are brief, I still enjoy reading them. Hopefully Monalisa gets those paintings she requires.

DAY 79  (J. K.)

Why does most parties require drinks?  I threw a dinner party, they want drinks, so I made Juice on the Rocks.

I threw a black & white party, they want Zebra Fizz.

I threw a costume party, they want buffalo wing tea.

DAY 80  (J. K.)

I threw a weenie roast party, no drinks!  Forgot to pick up chocolate from the store, couldn't make S'mores.

DAY 82  (Monalisa)

This is so annoying.  All my friends are either dying or doesn't want to be friends anymore.  I had to keep chatting with my current friends and find new ones to replace those that passed away.  I really need to eat Ambrosia soon, going crazy socializing.

DAY 83  (Margarita)

Finished whiz kid, I am bored.  Great Grandmama teach me fishing.

DAY 85  (Margarita)

This lady - crashed my birthday party.  Who is she?

Oh, she's one of grandmama's friends.  Let's hope she doesn't kick the bucket soon, grandmama been complaining all her friends dying.

Our family is so rich, I can buy everything in the store, I can even buy the store itself, but I didn't.

DAY 86  (Monalisa)

My time has come, I have only a few more days left, but I am so tired of finding new friends, I don't want to do it anymore.  I stopped painting, put up my most valuable ten paintings in the room, checked all my requirements, I'm ready to eat Ambrosia.

Haha, Monalisa could have ate Ambrosia a long time ago, I was just greedy and wanted more valuable paintings.  No I don't invite other guests to all my parties, since I can't control them I don't want them around.  I only want household as guest so I can tell all of them what to do and when to do it, I'm a bit of a controlling person when it comes to my sims.

I am totally jealous!  You've moved along so well and so organized and beside what you say, I like your story.  Maybe I need to focus more on skill and less on making the story angle work and extra Sims happy.  Congratulations on so many immortals and heirs!
