where should the make ambrosia prompt be? I look for it under desserts and I can't find it.

It's not a dessert. It's not really classified as anything — I believe you can make it anytime. But, the key is it's a single serving. So, I believe you're looking for the "Make" cue and not the "Serve" cue.

Yes, Metro's right.  Ambrosia can be made any time, but it's only a single serving under the "Have Lunch" option (or whichever meal).

I think the best way to make ambriosa and make money is to get the Creature-Cross-Breeder LTW so that you need gardening, fishing and handiness for it - Gardening to grow Life Plant, Handiness to upgrade sprinkler to auto-water and fishing for deathfish. Then you only need a cook.

Does everyone know that you don't have to upgrade the sprinklers to have them work for you?  You can just leave them on all the time if you can't remember to turn them on and off every day.  There's no harm in it at all.  I only upgrade mine when I have a handy Sim with nothing better to do.  :D

Thanks for the information about the sprinklers Pam. I wish I knew sooner - I've just spent I don't know how many sim days turning them on and off every morning for Bacchus and Ariadne in the nectar making challenge. Incidently, if you do turn them on and off, do you know how long they need to be on to make sure the plants are sufficiently watered?

It's not very long at all, Mordana.  Just enough time to get the plants sufficiently wet, which is only a few minutes in Sim time.

When you bring a sim back to life what age do they become? If they die of old age will they just be an elder again or will they go back to Adult or something?

When you feed a ghost Ambrosia, he will return to life at the beginning of the stage he was in when he died.  An Elderly Sim will come back at the start of the Elderly stage.

I have been giving Ambrosia to the town ghosts in the cemetery.. I have given over 15 plates of that stuff to them..

I did notice however if you put more than 1 plate out the others will dissapear so only put one out..

I keep trying to see where they go when they go back to life but the camera isnt fast enough to keep up with them.

Use your pause feature to keep up with them.  Then you can follow them a little at a time.  The one I followed went back to his original home.  He was a townie that died after I started to play that game.  Would be curious to see where the original ghosts go.

Putting sprinklers on to water all the time gives you much higher bills unless you have the no bills reward.

Back on topic - I had one of my sims make some ambrosia to store for resurrection purposes (she was a level 10 cook but I was moving her out for baby spaces).  My sims used to sometimes go to eat it and I'd have to stop them.  One time a sim got it out of the fridge to eat and I cancelled his interaction to eat it, but then there was a fire on the lot.  Before I could get the ambrosia to safety, one of the firefighters ate it!
