Have you tried adding any of the Late Night buildings to Riverview?  I only have the Sports Grill one in Sunset Valley and just the 1 station is all I needed to make the tips.  Could see if you can fit one of the buildings with the built in subway and see if it works?

What I *did* do was reset the sim by sending him on vacation and then I had him work the exploit for a bit longer. He's not raking it in because I'm just not that patient, but when he came back he was getting tips again. Part of the problem is that he's a 2 star celebrity and the paparazzi are taking over, just snapping pictures and everybody else has celebrity interactions instead of tipping him. Everybody else just grabs a book and reads whenever he's playing lol

My band sims are making good money playing for tips in the subway in Bridgeport. They only have about 20 to 30 songs performed each, but they still make over 1k per hour of sims time.

After 3 hours in the subway:

I would think the biggest downfall to the subway is you don't get the boost in friendship status and the climbing of the relationship playing in the subway like in front of a theater
