I agree with Joria, I have been experimenting most of the evening with Riverview and adding the Bridgeport buildings. What an easy town to add these buildings to. I have had a blast. I put the Plasma 501 in and took out the ropes so my little sims could get in and what a difference. I put in the subways too, one close to her house and one close to where she works, it is alot quicker, if she is finishing up in the morning. I have her miss her carpool and then take the subway. All it takes is a 10 x 10 lot and I put a couple of trees and a couple of lights and it turns out pretty cool. The land is flat and I took out some fence posts where the Brokes live, sort of like that trailer park. Eventually, will not be able to recognize the town anymore.
Only thing was, Jon Lesson turned out to be a vampire and Don Lathario is a one star celeb. The Cantina's are vampires too. Jon's elder girlfriend died at a party and she was a vampire and turned into a red ghost and it was right after my sim told Jon to break up with her, maybe she died of a broken heart, well, it could happen, lol. Alot of interesting stuff has happened in my game and now I need to go to bed, darn, otherwise, I would probably stay up way to late.
WHAT?!! You sleep??? lol Geez, even in my dreams I'm playing this game and figuring out what could go where.
I never thought of putting in the subways! Great idea.
I am really bummed Jon became a vampire. I really hate it when the game arbitrarily turns perfectly good Sims into something so nasty. I could understand if it was the Altos but Jon ? Not right!
I played in (ugh), Bridgeport today. It is actually starting to look more "Portland-ized". All it takes is some trees actually. Gee, even the Big Apple has trees lining many of the sidewalks, and Central Park is huge. And don't forget the cherry tree lined streets in DC! I feel sad for big city folk who live in dreary big cities instead of the vibrant and pretty ones I'm so fond of. Of course, they have their dark, dreary, slum areas but not the entire city! You know what Bridgeport looks like? A city after a huge pyroclastic flow hit it. Reminds me of Mt. St. Helen, or Portland when the ash was falling.
I sidetracked myself. What I was about to share was you can't put Barnacle Bay buildings in Bridgeport no matter what the size of the lot. I just had to try to see if it was possible. It isn't. Twinbrook buildings, no problem, but not BB.
Has anyone uploaded any of their Late Night converted SV worlds in the Exchange by any chance? Or any of their SV friendly Late Night club creations? I would LOVE some links please!
I'm going to try some of the "off road" suggestions I've read here, but I really don't want to delete many of my pre-created houses/family in SV (like the Altos, etc). Any help would be greatly appreciated as I personally fall short in the 'Building' creativity zone...
I'm working on it but not sure how you'd put up the entire SV. I'll have some lots and buildings up soon. Just keep checking the Building and Remodeling section and probably will post in the showboat thread if I don't start a new one.
