I'm putting money down that Ashley's the liar.  And no, I don't understand how Kayla could automatically take the word of a stranger over the man she has loved and lived with all that time.   :o  Nobody should get almost divorced over a spiteful letter without hearing the other side of the story.  I think the law is innocent until proven guilty.  But perhaps Kayla's hormones are behind her overreacting like that.

And in Kayla's defense, sometimes your own insecurities can drive you to expect the worst in those people you're closest to!

I'm glad it was just a misunderstanding. Being betrayed and cheated on can be the most painful thing to happen in a marriage.

@TheGoat That can happen too. Adds more drama to the story. lol

Amber's POV

"Just remember that I'm the cool aunt. I'm here for you whenever you need anything." I told Lincoln.

I looked down at him.

"Truth be told, I hope they keep having babies. Rylie and Kayla that is, because I've made up my mind. I'm fine with being by myself. I mean I have siblings who love me, and an adorable niece and nephew. What more could a girl want?" I asked.

He cooed.

"I'm glad that you agree with me little man."

...

Adam's POV

"Daddy!" Aria whined.

"COMING!"

I rushed up the stairs the fastest I could carrying a tray of two bowls of chicken noodle soup. I walked into the bedroom where my two girls were absolutely miserable. Kayla grabbed a Kleenex and sneezed for the millionth time that hour.

"I'm here with the soup."

"Oh I can't eat, please I feel like I'm going to barf." Kayla said covering her mouth.

"Well I'm sorry sweetie, but our daughter needs to eat so you'll have to put up with the smell."

I found it easier having them in the same room then having to run up and down the stairs trying to take care of them both. Kayla got sick first and she has been sick for three days straight. Aria came home from school yesterday with almost the same symptoms.

"The crackers are missing!" Aria said.

"I will go grab them."

"Oh honey, can you check the mail?" Kayla asked.

"And bring my stuffed bear?" Aria asked.

"Oh! And I would love another cup of ice." Kayla said.

"And maybe a book?" Aria asked.

"Crackers, check the mail, stuffed bear, cup of ice, and a book. Got it." I said.

I repeated the list in my head as I completed all of their requests one at a time. I ran back upstairs with my arms full of stuff.

"Can I get you anything else?" I asked.

"Not right now sweetie, thank you for being so awesome."

"No problem." I said kissing them both on the forehead.

A Week Later...

"This is ridiculous I don't need to see a doctor." Kayla huffed.

"You've been puking for almost two weeks, Aria is completely fine so there has to be more going on with you." I told her.

"I'm not a child! I should have a say so in if I need the doctor or not!"

"You are my wife, I want to make sure that you are safe and healthy. Please do this, for me?"

I groaned.

Kayla's POV

He was being ridiculous, I'm fine. What could be wrong with me?

"Kayla Smith?" The nurse said.

I looked at Adam once more hoping that he would change his mind.

"Go." He whispered.

I pouted and stood up. I followed the nurse into the exam room and sat on the lovely metal table, thankfully I did not have to change into one of those paper gowns.

"The doctor will be in with you shortly, in the mean time if you could give us a urine sample that would help." She said.

I took the plastic cup unwillingly. I waited for her to leave the room before I went into the bathroom and did my thing. I walked out of the room and set the sample on the table before washing my hands again. I sat back down on the exam table and patiently waited.

...

"When are we going to tell the family?" Adam asked.

"At dinner tonight, Amber is cooking."

He nodded.

"I can't believe this is happening." I said.

"I know, but I'm glad we know what it is now!"

I smiled and gave him a kiss.

"Mama, are you alright?" Aria asked.

"Of course baby girl, mama will be perfectly fine." Adam told her.

Meanwhile, Lincoln grew up to be a child! And what a handsome child he was!

"I'm Aria, my mom said we are cousins." Aria said.

"Lincoln." He said.

"I know silly! Your mom let me hold you a few times!"

...

"Dinner time!" Amber said.

We got our plates of food and sat at the table. Everyone ate in silence for a few moments.

"So, what did the doctor say?" Bentley asked.

"Everything's fine, they did blood tests and all that fun stuff. I'm perfectly healthy." I said smiling.

"That's awesome!" Bentley said.

"I'm so glad! I was worried!" Rylie said.

"I knew everything would turn out fine." Amber smiled.

"Yeah, we are also glad that the baby is healthy too." I said casually.

Everyone stopped eating and looked at Adam and I.

"Baby?!" Amber asked.

"Mama you're having a baby?" Aria asked.

"I am. Guys, I'm pregnant." I laughed.

"Oh my god!!!" Rylie screamed.

Everyone got up and gave Adam and I hugs and kisses on the cheek.

"To Adam and Kayla, and the new addition to our growing family." Bentley said holding up a glass for a toast.

We all clanked our glasses together and continued to eat, talking about the new baby and the future.

...

"Dinner went well, the family seemed thrilled." Adam said.

"I'm glad they do." I smiled.

I walked over to him, "Adam?"

"Yeah?"

"I want to apologize again." I told him.

"For what?"

"How I reacted to that letter. I was so quick to judge you, to believe some chick who I've never even met before. I believed her over the man I love, who I've given my heart and soul too. I'll never forgive myself for acting so crazy and for accusing you of cheating."

"Kayla, stop. I've forgiven you, even before you apologized the first time. Now we can just blame it on the hormones and crazy pregnancy brain!" He smiled.

"I can't believe we are having another baby!!" I said.

"I can't wait."

Kayla's having another baby! =D

POLL TIME!

Should I:
-Continue the story until either I get bored of it or you guys do.

OR

-Continue the story up until Adam, Bentley, Amber, Kayla, and Rylie are either Elders or pass away, then write an ending for the children. Then start a new story.

I'm just curious as to what you guys think! So let me know =]

That's the only reason I said it. I didn't believe it, but I thought it would have added drama to the story. ;)

@Ally3772 You know I love your writing, but I think you should wrap this story up as soon as you can meaningfully and give us a new one. These sims have become successful and moved past their original issues, and met some drama along the way, but you'll have a lot more exciting plot potential to work with if you start with a whole new family.

That's just my opinion. If you stick with this family, I'll still keep reading. You're not losing this fan, either way. :)

Yeah, you're not losing any of us! So you do what you need to, besides, just now you choose the "write til bored" option and then we get stuck in the middle of a climactic arc with no more story to come ;-D

Hee hee.  I thought Kayla's response to Ashley's letter was mainly hormones.

@Ally3772 you do what you feel up to doing.  I love your writing and you won't lose me as a reader.  But to reiterate what @Magpie2012 said, please don't begin a dramatic story arc and then get bored with it and give up.  There are way too many stories in the graveyard that I've been hooked on and then frustrated when the writers get bored and give up.  Even a story about everyday Sims doing everyday things can have a natural ending.  There's nothing wrong with a "Happily ever after" ending or "The circle of life goes on and on..." ending.

Whatever you chose, I have really enjoyed you showing off the new expansions to The Sims 4 and giving us a story to enjoy at the same time.

What they said!  Even the best and longest lasting soap box operas finally move on to new characters.  It's time for the kids to have a happily ever after.

"Your mother and I are going to have another baby!" Adam said.

"WOW!" Aria beamed.

Thankfully this time around Adam got better at those foot massages.

"I think it's a boy." I told Adam.

"A son? You think we'll get a son?" He beamed.

"I don't know, it seems that I'm carrying lower then I did with Aria." I told him.

"I'm going to go take a nap." I yawned.

I walked upstairs and heard singing coming from Amber's room so I stopped and glanced in.

"Nice moves!"

She jumped and turned around.

"You scared the crap out of me!" She gasped.

"Oh man, that was good." I said walking to my room chuckling to myself.

...

Adam's POV

"Aria? Are you down here?" I asked.

I walked into the movie theater room, she was sitting on the couch crying into her hands.

"Baby girl, what is wrong?!"

She just kept sobbing.

"Aria, talk to me."

"This girl... in my class... she called me... she called me stupid! She... she told me that my hair was stupid and that... that I'd be lucky if a boy even looked at me!"

I sat there for a minute, I was shocked that children could be so cruel.

"Sweet baby girl, you are none of those things! People often say mean things like that because they are unhappy with themselves."

"But why does she have to pick on people?" She asked wiping tears away.

"Because, it's her way of crying for help."

"Do you think I could help her?" She asked.

"You might be able too."

"Thank you daddy."

"Anytime princess, just know that you are a very beautiful and smart little girl."

Kayla's POV

"Why do we have to take a picture?" I groaned.

"Because! We will want to look back on this one day!" Adam said.

There, there was the annual 'I look like a whale' picture.

"I love you." I said giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"I love you too." He said.

I pulled away and my smile faded.

"Kayla?" Adam asked.

"I think my water just broke..."

...

"Are we ready?" I asked Adam, standing outside of the hospital.

"We are."

"Okay, let's go have a baby." I said.

Welcome to the world Aiden!

Welcome Aiden!

I may wrap this story up with the next post! We shall see!

A Couple Years Later...

"Happy birthday dear Aria! Happy birthday to you!" We all sang.

I covered my mouth as Adam pulled me in his arms, my baby girl!

We spent her birthday watching movies and eating pizza.

...

Soon after we celebrated Aiden's birthday! All my babies were growing up!

What we didn't take pictures of was all of our birthdays. All of us celebrated our birthdays into adulthood. And boy what a ride THAT was!!

...

"Okay baby, yes I'm sure. Enjoy your day with Chad." I smiled and hung up the phone.

I set it down on the table as I rocked in my rocking chair. I ran my fingers through my silver hair as I grabbed the photo album on the shelf. I slowly opened it to a picture of mom and dad, where this all began...

Our lives changed the day after Aiden's birthday. Adam came home screaming and talking so fast that no one could understand him. He won the lottery! It was enough to get us through retirement and we could all quit our jobs!! We continued to work for a while after while we decided on if that was a good idea.

Ever since I was a child I wanted to go to the moon, literally. So I worked hard at becoming an astronaut and loved it. But when the opportunity to quit because of the lottery money I was faced with a hard decision. Do I keep going and possibly never make it? Do I quit and be able to spend the remaining time I had with my loved ones? In the end I chose to leave my job. Time is short while on this planet, so if you are able too then it should be spent with the ones you loved. The choice to leave to Adam wasn't hard, he'd never admit it to himself but he hated his job. I saw the look of dread every time he woke up in the morning to get ready for work. So he left his job the second we cashed in the ticket. I was lucky when I found him, I was lucky when he asked me to marry him, and I was certainly lucky to call him the father of my children... The kids took it hard when we arrived back home from the hospital. There was an accident on the highway, a semi truck turned over causing a huge car pile up. Adam was the only casualty of the accident. It took me a while to accept the fact that he wasn't going to be here with me to grow old. It happened days before we turned into elders. I miss him every day, but he's with me in spirit. I feel him hug me or hold my hand every once in a while...

Aria, man she was a handful as a teenager! Just like her father she was strong willed and determined to get what she wanted. It was a huge adjustment for Adam when she brought Chad home. The first (and later the only) boyfriend of his little girl. I was shocked he didn't go out and buy a shot gun. Her world was flipped upside down when Chad was attacked one night after a movie. She never left his side: she stayed with him through each surgery, when the doctors told him he may never walk again, through physical therapy, through facial reconstructive surgery, she was there when he took his first step with and without help. She surprised herself with how strong she was, of course I already knew that. Soon they became young adults and Chad did not waste a minute popping the question! They were married less then a year later. Their world was rocked again when Aria got pregnant, it only lasted a few months before she miscarried. It was his turn to stick with her through everything, and she needed him now more then ever because the doctor told them she'd never be able to have children due to complications. So, the shook the dust off and decided to adopt a baby boy named Ashton. Talk about a truly blessed family, and I knew that they'd be fine long after I was gone.

Aiden had a less eventful life than Aria did. He grew up to be a teenager and was focused on getting good grades so that he could continue to further his education. He decided to work, even though he didn't have too. He wanted to be a first responder for the hospital. This decision was absolutely inspired by his father passing away. He wanted to make sure that no family member would suffer like our family did if he could help it. Years passed and he got his dream. He was crushed the first time he was unable to save a little girl from a burning car. He slipped into a depression and turned to alcohol, it was a rough patch for the entire family. We were able to finally get him back on his feet. He went on to save many lives, and I couldn't be more proud!

Amber ended up moving out. It shocked us all when she told us that she wanted to know what if felt like to be alone. I worried about her a lot. She had this decision she made a while ago to not get married or have kids. I respected that decision because it wasn't a bad thing to want to be on your own, but I just worried about her being lonely. Her house was absolutely beautiful though and we took turns having dinner parties. She was happy and that's all that mattered to me, that and her safety. We just took it one day at a time after Adam passed. I couldn't do it without her, she spent countless nights with me having sleepovers in my bedroom like we were teenagers again. She is my rock to this day!

Bentley and Rylie, I still to this day cannot believe we ever doubted those two. They eventually moved out of the house as well with Lincoln. Lincoln was their only child, they decided that they were happy with just one. It was hard having them move out, because at that time Aria had moved out with Chad and Bentley had his own place as well. I was truly alone in this big house with few visitors. They were happy and doing fine though. They also quit their jobs after the lottery win and decided to take up gardening with each other. They had a beautiful yard and I loved going over there with a book and just sat next to the pond. There isn't really much to say about those two, just that they spent each day thankful to have one another.

Lincoln grew up to be a handsome young man. I wouldn't be here to see his entire future play out. I like to believe that I'll be able to look down on him and see his life sometimes. But no one knows for sure what Heaven is like, or if it's even real. I like to believe it is, or you go to a place with all your loved ones. I also like to believe he found a girl, and they got married, and had a bunch of children. I know he wanted to be a musician. I hope his dream was fulfilled and that he was happy. As long as he was happy nothing else mattered...

I closed the photo album and rested my hand on it. I closed my eyes and rested my head against the head rest, I took calming breaths and waited for my love to come and get me. Because I knew, against all the odds, he was waiting for me...

The End...

It's over, it may have felt rushed but... I'll wait a few days before marking it complete so that everyone gets a chance to read it! I can't give you a set time or date when I'll have my next story out, I have an idea I just need to make sure I can write it! Hope you guys liked the ending! Thanks for reading this story, and for all the nice comments you've left! Until next time =]

Well that was a very dramatic wrap up.  Poor Adam.  :'(  He didn't get to enjoy his lottery win much.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story Ally and I look forward to reading your new one.  PM me if you don't see me comment because 'Unread posts since last visit' don't always open but 'My Bookmarks' mostly do.  (Stupid remote area internet!)
