Life adjusting to the new house has been pretty simple surprisingly. The kids seem to enjoy the new school and made friends quickly. Thankfully Ethan and I's jobs transferred over so we didn't have to start over.

"Hurry up with breakfast! The bus will be here shortly!" I told Adam and Kayla.

"Mom?"

"Yes sweetie?"

"Have I told you thank you lately?"

"For what?"

"Everything."

I smiled and walked over to her kissing her on the forehead.

"You are very welcome."

They especially loved the backyard, though almost every night led to a dance off.

"Mom!" Amber yelled.

I dropped what I was doing and rushed into the study, Ethan in tow.

"What?! What's wrong?!"

I looked at her.

"We want to give you and dad something."

I looked at our three children before noticing the all behind them.

I covered my mouth and tears filled them.

"What is this?" Ethan asked grabbing my other hand and holding it.

"We put the pictures we took together."

"Wow." I gasped.

"Do you like it?" Kayla asked.

"We love it!" I said hugging all three of them.

...

"I hear someone aced their math test." Kayla said sitting next to Adam.

"I did." He smiled.

"I'm proud of you."

He smiled.

I sighed as we looked at Kayla and Adam outside.

"They're happy." I said.

"Too happy." Ethan grumbled.

"Now now, don't you remember us at that age?"

"I do, and that's why I'm worried."

"Our birthdays are tomorrow." I said, a hit of sadness in my voice.

"I know, it's crazy."

"I'm not so sure I'm ready to leave our children."

"Hey," he said rubbing my leg, "We still have time."

...

"What kind of cake do you want?" I asked Ethan.

"That chocolate coconut kind you make!"

"Okay!"

Soon after we were celebrating Ethan and I's birthday and the journey to the next stage, and last.

"I'm scared." Amber whispered to Kayla.

"Of what?" She asked.

"Losing mom and dad, what are we going to do?"

"There's nothing we can do but enjoy the time we have left." She said.

I'm not sure of my feelings of saying goodbye to Rachel. But, life must go on I suppose, even in the sim world! Hope you guys enjoyed the update! =]

Great storytelling. I'm glad I finally caught up from since I last commented here. :D I always hate having sims grow old and die. It's just so sad. :'( I hope the triplets will be able to move on.

I really hope that Rachel gets to see Connor before she passes.  She needs to know that he's in a good place and taken care of.

Yay! Okay, I'm going to be quick about this, because this isn't supposed to be about me, but I have to share:

My laptop broke just shortly after Ally's did, and I had to move my desktop to my office, which meant no more gaming for a while. (And that old piece of junk can't even update Origin now.) Well, I just got a new laptop, installed Origin, found out Sims will run just fine on it (yay again!), and finally came back to Carl's to find my favorite writer came back, too, and had a bunch of new updates for me to read! That really made my day!

Keep up the good work, Ally. Your story remains my first stop when I visit the forums!

Also, I'm right there with Magz, curious how the Rachel/Connor thing is resolved, although I don't think he has to come back, necessarily. A sad ending to that story might be even more powerful.

I'm glad you are enjoying my story and that Its the first one you read! =D And about the Connor situation, don't you worry! I have an idea that people may or may not like but I think it's a good one. Should have it up tonight! Thanks for the kind words!

"Mom! Mom! There's this cool movie on tonight! Adam and I heard about it at school! It's rated R, but just because it's a scary movie! Can we watch it?!" Amber asked rushing in from school.

"Only if you guys finish your homework first!"

"Yes!"

...

"Mom I don't think you should do this..." Kayla said.

"I'll be fine!"

"Honey, please be careful."

"I'll be fine!"

Everyone gasped as I jumped.

I swam to the top, "See?!"

Amber and Kayla laughed as they walked over to the DJ booths and practiced more.

"Play country music!" Ethan said.

"NO!" Everyone yelled.

Ethan changed into his swim suit and joined me by the pool. We swung our feet in the water as we enjoyed the music.

"I forgot to tell you! Connor called, he wants to meet us for dinner Saturday night at the diner across town!" I told him.

"Really?! That's great!"

...

"So tonight your mother and I are going to meet with Connor so I need you to be the man of the house and keep an eye on your sisters. Especially Kayla and Adam." Ethan told Bentley.

"Right."

"If they are alone in a room together the rule is that the door stays open."

He nodded.

I smiled at my boys.

"So, what are you guys going to meet him for?" He asked.

"Well, just to catch up with him and see how he's doing." I told him.

He nodded, I didn't blame him for seeming uninterested. Connor ran away when they were still kids so they didn't have much time to bond.

I went upstairs to start to get ready for dinner, I was halfway ready when the door bell rang.

"Honey!" Ethan called.

"Coming!" I called back.

I walked to the door as I put my earring in, there was a smile on my face up to the point of me seeing two police officers at the door.

"Good evening ma'am." The tall one with brown hair said.

"Hello."

"Is this the house of Rachel and Ethan Weston?"

"We are Ethan and Rachel." I said slowly.

They both took their hats off and had a remorseful look on their faces.

"What's going on?" Ethan asked grabbing my hand.

I already knew, a mother always knows, I covered my mouth with my free hand.

"I'm sorry to inform you that your son, Connor, was involved in a car accident at 4:32 this evening. He was transferred to the hospital where the doctors did everything they could but they were unable to save him. I am so sorry for your loss."

I let out a wail as I fell to the floor.

...

Ethan's POV

I finally got Rachel to sleep, I closed our bedroom door and walked down the hall to check on the kids. I heard sobbing coming from Kayla's bedroom. I slowly opened up her door and walked in, she was curled up on a chair by the window crying into the teddy bear she got from Adam. I walked over to her and pulled the foot stool up and sat in front of her.

"This is all my fault." She wailed.

"Princess."

"No dad! This is all my fault! If I had just let you guys know he came over instead of telling him to leave the family alone then this wouldn't of happened!"

I rubbed her leg, "This would have happened no matter what someone did or didn't do."

"I'm so stupid!" She cried covering her face.

I pulled her into my arms and let her wail into my shirt.

"You are so far beyond stupid, you are the smartest girl I know. Don't tell your mother I said that."

She giggled a bit before going back to sobbing, I tried my best not to cry but the tears won and started to run down my cheeks.

It was going to be a while before this family was back to normal, and I had a feeling that would never really happen.

...

Rachel's POV

We walked into the house and I kicked off my shoes.

"It was a beautiful service." Ethan said.

"Yeah, it was."

I walked into the kitchen and opened up the fridge.

"What are you doing?" Ethan asked.

"The kids will be home from school soon, I need to get dinner going."

"We could just order pizza."

"No, I can make dinner."

"Rach-"

"Please! Please! Can I please just cook dinner for the children that I still have?!" I screamed.

His eyes widened.

"I'm sorry." I sighed.

"No, I'm sorry. It's been a long day and I just thought that you'd want to relax."

"It will help me relax knowing that I'm taking care of my family. Plus keeping myself busy will keep my mind off of it."

He walked over to me and kissed my forehead.

"Ethan."

He stopped walking and turned around.

"Connor died." I said before starting to cry again.

He walked back over to me and pulled me in his arms.

RIP Connor </3

Kayla: "wouldn't of happened"
Ethan: "would have happened"

One of the things I have a hard time with in my writing is making characters sound like themselves, instead of all sounding like, well, me. I don't know if you did that on purpose, or it just came naturally, but little details like Kayla's bad grammar really help make your characters sound more realistic.

I think you made the right choice with how to end the Connor story. I thought this was especially poignant:

"Ethan."

He stopped walking and turned around.

"Connor died." I said before starting to cry again.

Really well done. She wasn't actually telling Ethan anything; she just needed to say it out loud to really be able to start to face what was happening to her. Really made her seem very human in that moment. Loved it. Also loved the first section, with the movie, and the diving, and the music argument, all simple, meaningless, every day tensions that acted to set the stage for the big (unrelated) tension later.

I will admit to tearing up with this one. You knew it was coming, but to have it happen... Very well written Ally!

First off! Thank you to those who replied! I am glad you guys liked the last update and thank you The Goat for pointing out the grammar issues! Also thank you to those who don't reply but take time to read it!!

Secondly, as soon as I get of work in about 3 hours I will be getting the Movie Hangout stuff pack! I put it off because I wasn't sure if I'd like it but I've seen some really good reviews that say it's worth it so I'm going to get it. And as soon as I tweak the outfits if I want and change the house I will be working on an update! My goal is to have one out for you guys before going to bed tonight!

So stay tuned =]

Hey guys! Sorry for not getting an update out! This isn't an actual update but wanted to show you what I did get done the other night with the house! I only changed Kayla and Amber!

Here is the movie theater area in the newly built basement:

This basement is huge, so I added a spa room and a "man cave" (I'm apparently missing a third chair in the man cave O.o)

The basement also has a few guest rooms and more room for other rooms that I haven't built.

I added a nice and relaxing area to the backyard:

Here is Kayla:

And last but not least, Amber:

So those are all the changes so far, I am going to play a bit before bed. I'm not promising an update tonight, but if it's possible I will make it happen.
