Announcement!!

Hey guys! I was in the midst of working on an update. However...

My laptop decided that it wanted to die on me last night... Fortunately I was able to get a new laptop fairly quickly and am in the process of setting it up as we speak. As of right now I am not sure if I will be able to get my game saves back, a friend of mine is looking into transferring everything from my old hard drive to this laptop. If he can then I will most likely get my saves back! If he can't then I will sadly have to write an end to this story :(

If that happens then have no fear! I will create a new family and make up a new story line. I am hoping that it doesn't come to this though because I really want to see this story through to the end. I just felt I should update you guys so you aren't wondering why I am not updating! I will hopefully have an answer within the next couple days! Until then I hope everyone is doing good and life is treating you well :)

I couldn't do it.

I couldn't live in that house one more day. I would walk past Connor's room and expect to see him in there. I would expect to catch him while he jammed out with his head phones in. I would expect to walk in to see him growling at the latest math problem he struggled with. I would expect to walk in and scowl when I had to, yet again, pick up his dirty clothes.

"Ethan." I said.

"Yeah?"

"I can't do this."

He looked at me.

"Can't do what?" He asked.

"I can't be here, I can't live in this house anymore."

He stopped what he was doing.

"What are you saying?" He asked getting defensive.

"I want to move out of this house!"

"So that's it? You're done?"

"What?" I asked, now the one confused.

"You want a divorce?! After everything we've been through?!" He gasped.

"No! I just want to move, as a family!"

He put his hand on his chest, "You scared me!"

So a month later we were in a new house, and it was beautiful!

"Thank you for moving our family again." I said kissing Ethan.

"Anything to make you happy." He said.

"I know it won't bring him back, won't make the memories go away, but it will help."

He squeezed my hand. We headed into the little house that was next to our house that we turned into an entertainment room. Ethan bought me a massage table and treated me with a massage that he learned to do.

"Girls! Be careful!" I shouted from the outside eating area.

"Okay mom!"

"Where did Connor go mommy?" Bentley asked.

"I told you baby, he went away." I said.

"Is he coming home?"

"I hope so."

"When?"

"I'm not sure."

I watched as my girls played on the play set to try to focus on something other than our broken family.

I would just have to take it one day at a time, and be thankful for what I had. I would have to try to keep the faith that someday, whether it's a day from now or a year, that Connor would return to us.

Good news!! My save was able to be transferred to my new laptop! It's been a chore trying to get everything set back up but I believe that I am finally finished! Hope you enjoyed the update even though it's a small one!

The 48 hour period is generally for adults... Kids they take as priority and start looking for practically immediately... I am really enjoying this story, I almost thought Em was going to die in childbirth with all the drama about her battling to get pregnant... I'm glad I was wrong!

Have the sims really been dying off all on the same day or was that a plot device? I'm just asking because I haven't heard of 4 sims dying in the same house on the same day before! If it was just a plot device, it was a really good one!

I don't mind the text heavy updates, since my BB and tapatalk don't get on so well, so I basically only see every 10th or 11th image anyway lol

Not trying to be prickly, but the waiting period is a fiction trope. There is no law or policy that says they must wait before searching for anyone, adult or child. I'm sure many jurisdictions are going to give priority to missing children, that's just natural. But look at stories in the news about missing elders, as well. They don't wait 48 hours.

Anyway, it works just fine as a fictional device. I only brought it up on the off chance there might be someone who would actually delay calling the police because they believed they had to wait a certain amount of time. You should never, ever do that. That's all I wanted to say. If you have a loved one come up missing, report it immediately!

On a much more important note, Ally where are you? I'm dying waiting for this next update. :)

I'm just speaking from a South African perspective, you should never wait to report someone missing, but in this country they don't give adults a priority until at least 48 hours have passed, since they might just want "time to themselves"... It sucks but that's the truth about our police force...

Heh. I fell into the trap of forgetting that the world is bigger than the USA. I hate it when I do that! Seriously. I'm not joking. I'm kicking myself.

Lol its cool XD
We all do that at times... I just wish my police took things more seriously... If you can't show some evidence that the adult that's missing was taken against their will or they have dementia or something, they're just not interested! We had a case where a guy was hiking in a nature reserve and went missing. Despite the fact that his car sat in the reserve's parking lot, untouched, the police weren't interested! The family actually got a PI involved and a few days later, with the help of a community search, they found him alive but severely dehydrated, at the bottom of a ravine! If the cops had just started looking the moment the family gave the head's up, he might have been found sooner!
Ally, where are you?!? I want MOAR!

The new house was amazing. I had so much room to do things and the kitchen was fabulous.

"The kids seem to love the house." Ethan said as he rubbed my feet.

"I'm glad." I smiled.

I closed my eyes as I enjoyed my foot rub.

"So, the bills are due."

So much for enjoying myself.

"How much?" I asked.

"$13,500."

I covered my face.

"And we only have about $9,500."

"I know." I sighed.

We had a few days to come up with the money, in the mean time we had to keep working and make sure to not let the kids know that we could lose the electricity.

"We're home!" Bentley announced.

"Good! Go work on homework and dinner will be ready in an hour." I told them.

And sure enough, the power was turned off...

"Why is the house so dark mommy?" Kayla asked.

"There is a problem with the lights in the house and daddy and I are trying to fix it."

"Will they be back on tomorrow?"

"I don't know baby."

I kissed her forehead.

I watched as the three of them hopped off the stools and rushed to go play.

"I never wanted this to happen, I never wanted them to know the feeling of the electricity being turned off." I sighed.

Ethan grabbed my hand and squeezed it.

"This will be the only time this happens." He said.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

The weeks flew by and before we knew it the triplets grew up to be teenagers!

It was crazy to think about, it seemed like yesterday we brought them home from the hospital.

Hey guys! Have no fear! I did not forget about you! It has just been crazy busy! =] Hope you liked the update!

I am totally impressed.  I finally had time to read your story from start to now and it's wonderful.  Gorgeous Sims, great houses, (did you build them?), and fabulous writing.  So,  uhmmmm, when's the next update please?

"We should go out!" Kayla said.

"And do what?" I asked walking in.

"Hi mom. A bunch of kids from school are going trick or treating tonight, and I thought it'd be fun to tag along!" Kayla told me.

"I'll have to talk to your father, but I don't see there being a problem." I said.

"Cool!"

So, the three of them went shopping for costumes. Kayla decided she was going to be a pop star, Amber went as Princess Leia, and Bentley went as the Grim Reaper.

"You guys look awesome!" Ethan said.

"Thanks dad!" Amber said.

The kids had a blast at trick or treating, they got a surprising amount of candy for being teenagers.

"Last night was so much fun!" Kayla said.

"Yeah, when are you going to tell mom and dad about that boy?" Amber asked.

I was spying behind the wall.

"I don't know, I don't even know if anything will come of it."

"You never know until you try."

"Thanks sis."

"So, anything happen at school today?" Ethan asked.

"Not really." The kids answered.

We made it a point to ask the kids how their day went, and I was hoping to find out a little more on this mystery boy that was interested in our little girl.

"So, mom and dad, can my friend come over tomorrow?" Kayla asked.

"Sure." I said.

"What friend?" Ethan asked looking at her.

"His name is Adam."

You could almost feel Ethan's breath hitch.

"A boy?" He asked.

"Yes daddy." She giggled.

He sighed, "It begins."

I smiled and grabbed his hand.

So, the day after we met Adam.

Kayla's POV

"We're in the same grade?! That's so cool." I said.

Then I realized that sounded cheesy.

"I mean, maybe we will see each other at school." I stammered.

He laughed, "Maybe."

I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Does your neck hurt?" He asked.

"Not really."

"My dad was a massage therapist before he passed away and taught me some things."

"Did he?"

He nodded.

"What does your mom do?"

"Sits at home and drinks until she passes out."

"Oh." I said awkwardly.

He just bit his lip.

"Could you show me a massage?" I asked.

"Sure!"

We snuck off to the small house on the property where all our entertainment things were.

"Sit down." He said motioning to the massage chair.

I slowly sat down and tried to calm the butterflies in my stomach.

"Give me your hand."

Suddenly my palms became sweaty.

"Uh, oh. Okay." I said.

"Soft hands." He mentioned.

"I was thinking sweaty hands." I giggled nervously.

"I was thinking beautiful hands."

My face turned red and I blushed.

Oooo, who is this Adam kid??? Glad you guys are loving the story!!! ;D

I am so jealous!!  I love getting my hands massaged.  Adam is a good looking kid.  Might be something there if his traits are good.
