Can't Get Cheat Code for Familyfunds or Lifetime Points to Work

I still can't get the lifetime points to work.

I know for that to work for me, I have to put testingcheats in at the main menu before I load the game I want to play.  I think I have posted it before (not enough time to look and check though) but on my desktop I can only get the 500 increase on one super small area, probably a pixel width, to make it work. I have to click like crazy in that area until I see it start to go up.  Then I know where I have to click.  It is very frustrating sometimes.  On the other hand my daughters laptop I can click anywhere between the treasure chest and the numbers and it increases.  Also, I know you probably are, but make sure you are holding ctrl not shift.

Hmmmm, I have to hold ctr + shift for that cheat to work for me.

Please tell us exactly what you are doing.

I go to main menu, open up the cheat window, type in testingcheatsenabled true and I load up my saved game. Than when I go to click around the little treasure box I only get one point.

It works with NPC's right? That's why you have to enter the family name. I used in on the Goths but there was no change when I switched them to 0 simoleans.

I think it should work on the Goth family.  Were you playing them at the time?

No I wasn't which is why I was wondering? Do NPC's got bills and other expenses?

I'm pretty sure you have to play them to be able to do familyfunds. Because when I tried I epically failed.

Then why would you have to enter the last name? It should be able to tell who your family is. You dont have to type motherlode (Havens).

*should* work, as long as you use the family name and not the last name it's sims have, in some cases it's different, like for example "the roomies" from sunset valley (i think) or "talon and striker" from bridgeport.
