Using enlarged or shrunken furniture?
« on: March 24, 2015, 09:21:20 AM »
I am just curious, what happens if your Sim sits in a chair you made giant, or really tiny?

Seeing as some glitches can be outright terrifying. I am too scared to test for myself.

I'm not sure that you can enlarge any items that Sims would have to physically interact with.

I enlarged an armchair. In fact I was going to have my Sim sit on the slightly bigger chair, except my Niece was messing with the house earlier, and removed the door in said room blocking him. Not to mention had tiny Llamacorns all over the place. Not knowing what else she did, I was so annoyed I deleted every save and started fresh and never got around to trying the chair thing again, not to mention I'm terrified of glitches.

Unless they have changed it, you can't make things smaller, only larger.

Just tested it and it's still the same, you can't make anything smaller than it was originally. As using things, I made a chair larger and then sent my sim to sit in it. She just waved her arms that she couldn't do it. I even tried with a chair that was only enlarged by one step and she still could not use it. If you make the chair larger while they are sitting on it, you get this odd look. The sim will still carry on as if the chair is the correct size but as soon as they stand up, they can no longer interact with the chair.

Okay thank you :3 my Niece did the shrinking thing a short while after I just got the game. (I gave her permission to mess around to her hearts desire, though I assumed she would stick to her own sim's house. Not the empty houses in the neighbourhood) So I assume the shrinking objects was fixed in a patch.
